Agree 100%. Which is why I disagree with the switch to a 3-4. Too many players that did well in our 4-3 last year, namely Carter and Rocky, are going to be asked to change what they've been doing. If we had a bunch of scrubs on D I could understand this decision, but we don't, and I disagree with it.

That's fine but I don't think the drop off will be that drastic. Sure, we may not be in the top 10 overall but I believe our turnover ratio will rise into the middle of the pack. I think it'll balance out a bit things a bit.

So glad we didn't sign this guy for what the Cardinals paid him. What a desperate signing

Do us all a favor. Check out the Ravens' roster. Find me an ILB on their roster who weighs more than 240. Ellerbe doesn't. Gooden doesn't. Lewis doesn't. Donnie Edwards played a lot of good years for the Chiefs and Chargers at around 230.

But even if you're talking about bigger ILBs, you're looking at guys like David Harris or Patrick Willis or Jerod Mayo, none of whom are bigger than 245. Which is a whopping 12 pounds over Rocky's playing weight. It'll be up to the coaching staff to figure out whether extra muscle will suit him better (it certainly wasn't necessary for a WLB in a Tampa 2), but the idea that Rocky can't do it, either at his current weight or a higher one, has no basis in reality.

Keep in mind that Jim Haslett has used extra large linebackers with success in the past. He oversaw the career of Levon Kirkland with the Steelers, and within his scheme, Kirkland went to the Pro Bowl twice.

I expect the coaches see in Lorenzo Alexander, something that they say in Kirkland. As a result, I don't think the staff is in panick mode regarding the linebackers. That is what good teams do. They try to improve through acquisitions, but not at the wrong price or just for the sake of it. It's on the coaches to utilize the talent on the roster, and apparently they are not panicking with what we've got.

Jim Haslett knows way more than crazyhorse about who can play LB in our version of the 3-4. People here want "proven" players to do everything...how you expect to do that in shifting to a 3-4 for the first time is beyond me. Unless, you think we should just spend high dollar for aging veterans...Sound familiar??

I don't see a big drop off either, I don't see them going to the 3-4 full time any time soon. That means Carter and Rocky will still be able to do what they have done in the past.

Canes: How did Rocky play when he moved inside?

The Skins have a few young LB that are bigger than McIntosh. If Darrel Young, Curtis Gatewood, or Robert Henson can't make the switch then maybe they shouldn't be on the roster. I'd rather have the 3-4 as a addition instaed of a change.

NFL Star Joey Porter Arrested for Assaulting Cop

Arizona Cardinals linebacker Joey Porter was arrested outside a Taco Bell this morning after officials say Porter put his hands on a cop.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Joey was driving in a Taco Bell parking lot in Bakersfield -- his home town -- when a friend of Joey's was was stopped by police.

According to officials, Porter pulled up near the action - too close apparently -- because a CHP officer rolled over to his car, where he detected the smell of alcohol coming from Porter's car.

Cops say the officer asked for Porter's driver's license, but he refused to hand it over. ... instead, officials say, the 33-year-old tried to roll up his window.

Cops say the officer tried to reach in the car to manually unlock the car -- and that's when Porter "slapped" the officer's hand away.

According to the CHP, the officer decided to grab Porter's arm -- and that's when things got crazy. Porter allegedly got out of his car "in a confrontational manner."

The officer claims he drew his pistol and ordered Porter to the ground, but he wouldn't comply -- though he did ultimately agree to place his hands behind his head.

Additional officers were called to the scene to aid in the arrest. Porter was eventually taken in to custody and booked at a nearby jail. He was eventually charged with 3 misdemeanors -- DUI, resisting arrest and assault on a peace officer.

Porter recently signed a big fat contract with the Cardinals -- reportedly worth $17.5 million for 3 years.

Hey, the new shrimp tacos are to die for. If the cop was messing with that then I totally see it reasonable for him to throw a fit. Other then that, I'm with you...

BTW, I heard Tebow was arrested for grabbing a cop outside a Taco Bell in Florida. Does that affect your opinion there at all?
