That sounds like a pretty bad case of sour grapes you have there.

Browns lock up Pashos

Veteran offensive lineman Tony Pashos left Washington last night without signing a contract.

And he won't be signing a contract there, at least not in the near future.

Adam Schefter reports that Pashos has agreed to terms on a three-year, $10.3 million deal with the Cleveland Browns.

Pashos entered the league as a fifth-round pick of the Ravens in 2003, and he started every game at right tackle in 2006. He signed with the Jags as an unrestricted free agent in 2007, and he was released last year after refusing to take a pay cut.

Pashos presumably will be in the mix at right tackle, across from Joe Thomas, the current anchor of the Cleveland offensive line.

Well - don't need to pay that kind of money to a guy who's managed to be a back up or overpaid player for much of his career.

This might work to our benefit in grabbing a OT with the #4 pick

Pathos is a rt. tackle. What this means is that we have to take a left tackle at #4 and a right tackle in the second round if we want to be respectable next season. Pathos is only an average player but his loss hurts. If he had signed with us, we could have picked up a superior RB in the second round.
Pashos eventually landed with the 49ers via a one-year deal, but he was placed on injured reserve after appearing in five 2009 games, with one start.

With his old coach on our team, I think if we thought he was worth the money, we would have outbid Cleveland for his services. Thanks, but I don't want to reach for a average player
