Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I'll admit my opinion of Snyder has changed a lot

I'm fine with second chances - Snyder wakes up every day as the same slime bucket that went to sleep - NOTHING he does here changes that

This franchise will only win another Super Bowl if he stays away from anything to do with what happens on the field - AND - IF this franchise does win another Super Bowl, Snyder will wake up the next day as a slime bucket with a Super Bowl - I guess that'll make him a Super slime bucket

I think it's obvious that over the last 10 years, Dan Snyder has been the WORST owner in the NFL. Sure, there may be less competent, more arrogant, more amateurish, less mentally mature owners in the NFL, and I emphasize MAYBE - but who cares - they don't own the Redskins. So for me, Dan Snyder has been the WORST owner, for all the pain that his stupidity has put us fans through for the last 10 years.

I have been as unrelentingly negative about this franchise's prospects as the management of this team has been unrelentingly poor. There has been so many reports of Snyder's doings that indicate this team is going NOWHERE that IMHO it's been impossible to follow this team without a strong sense of negativity.

All that said, however, it must be recognized that people do change. Last year's disaster has not only cut us loose from Vinny Cerrato, it even seems to indicate that Snyder has learned something, ie. that to run a football team you need to hire people who know football. In short, perhaps amateur hour is over at Redskins Park.

I really don't think Allen and Shanahan would have taken the jobs if they knew an amateur would be at their elbow, kibitzing about things he knows nothing about. I am cautiously optimistic this year for the first time in five years. In fact, I feel great that there finally appears to be hope for this franchise.

They beat us, didn't they? What does that say about your argument when your own example of the worst team in football beat us on the field - and provided them with their only victory in what, 20 games?

And it's not just luck, either - if you look at the three worst teams in the NFL, i.e., those who pick ahead of us in the next draft - you'll see that half their collective wins came against Dan Snyder's Washington Redskins. So I would say that when the worst teams in the NFL are beating you - guess what - you're the worst. How's that for analysis?

It's a pretty shallow analysis. You don't determine an owner's worth based upon 1 game (the Redskins defeated the Broncos last year...so is Snyder therefore a better owner than Pat Bowlen?) or even 1 lousy season (in 1993, the Redskins went 4-12 under Jack Kent Cooke. Did that make him the worst owner ever then?).

Here's a better measure of worth of an owner. While not exactly the paradigm of success, under Snyder, the Skins have won 2 playoff games in a decade. Under Ford, the Lions have won ONE playoff game since 1957.

An exaggeration is the excuse that some need to defend Snyder.

No Danny is not and has never been THE WORST owner over the last decade.

The problem with that statement is that it is made with emotion. Of course, for many Skins fans, it feels that way. Who cares about the Lions and their misery? Who cares about the Raiders fans and Al Davies now?

Besides, one always has to qualify the standard by which a proof is advanced. One bad game loss against the hopeless Lions does not a bad owner make. It is, however, an alarming sign of things having gone the wrong way for quite some time. So, it is a single element, an embarrassing one, but only one.

It is when the WHOLE of his record and management practice, and the whole of the record of the Redskins is put together that it can be safely established and proved that:

Daniel Snyder has been one of the worst owners in the NFL based on, among others:

1. His ego and protagonistic attitude;
2. His ignorance of the game;
3. His poor choices at the Front Office;
4. His meddlesome and incompetent behaviour in player selection and interactions with players (read: preferential treatment);
5. His attempt to interfere with game plans and plays;
6. His poor public relations with fans;
7. His poor public relations with the media;
8. The overall W/L record of this once proud franchise.

I am sure that there are many other arguments by means of which he can be safely labelled as one of the worst EGOMANIAC owners in the NFL.

Difficult to tell who is worse The Jerryor the Danny. The difference being of course that the Jerry has some trophies to show and Danny has to dust off watever was accomplished under the ownership of JKC.
