BMitch said all three were won after going to Carlise...I'd love to see them go back

But on the other hand, the rest was right on in my book. Im not crazy about Jason Campbell, but if someone could work with him and quite all of these different offenses every year, he might have a chance. And atleast let him call audibles.
The offensive line needs alot of help. Need to straighten them out. And it was also mentioned about how the players work during the off season on how he will look at them for the upcoming year. Take CP, Im not sure but every time I hear about him in training camp and other things, he never wants to practice because of the posibilalty of getting hurt. I know hes gettin up there in age but you are a football player. Suck it up. GO SKINS
Take this with a grain of salt, but, per the USA Today,
But Shanahan had high praise for Snyder, who got an endorsement from what might seem like an unlikely source.
"I also talked to Marty Schottenheimer who was obviously here for a year," said Shanahan. "He said, 'Mike, if that opportunity presents itself, jump on it because you'll love him.'"

That's funny about the Marty quote. I swear I read in the past few weeks that Cowher would never work for Snyder because Schottenheimer told him not to! hahah.

Why? It was in PA for decades, including the magic years. Getting away from the city and the distractions, that's a good thing.

Maybe if Snyder was on his knees on the sidewalk outside of Schotty's bedroom window, shouting "Baby, I didn't mean it! Please, take me back! I love you!"

Not withthe Skins...it was a chance for him to say something nice about DS...lord knows DS needs it...so Ds will return the favor when Marty interviews with Buffalo!

I listen to Marty all the time. He has a show with Soloman Willcox on Sirius NFL Radio. He's said point blank that he's not going to coach anymore. He said that he sits on his back porch every morning and night and realizes everything he's missed out on. He lives on a lake outside of Charlotte and loves to go out there and fish. More than anything, he loves to sit at home on Sundays and watch the games. He said that while he misses the gameday experience, he doesn't miss everything else involved.
I think that Bill Cowher would coach the Bills for the right price. And it's going to be in the 7-10m per season range. Ralph Wilson's never been one to open his wallet. Something else to consider though with the Bills. They are one of several teams that have been rumored to moving to Los Angeles. I know that Bill Cowher will not do anything until he knows if they are going to be in Buffalo or LA. He loves the Raleigh area - where he lives and played at my fav. school NC State - and doesn't have much desire to move far away. I think it would have to be a really good situation and a lot of money - too much to turn down. I think that Cowher, in a perfect world, would like to take the Panther's job if it were to open up and Fox only has one year left on his contract.
As always, it'll be fun to see how this pan's out.

Marty is off his meds. That's got to be the only reason.

I know the big knock on him (Snyder) is that people say he's meddlesome...
How would you describe Ted Leonsis? Would you want Snyder more like Leonsis, or less?
(for those who don't know, Ted Leonsis is the current owner of the Washington Capitals and is a very passionate and involved owner...who let's his staff make the hockey decisions. The key difference IMO)
Leonsis is arguably the best owner in sports. He's passionate about the teams, cares about the fans, but lets his hockey people run the team and make decisions.
Yep, also the same way Joe Gibbs runs his Nascar teams. You can be the owner and be VERY involved, without interfering with your hired EXPERTS as they do what you pay them for.

Marty likes Dan Snyder but can not stand Vinny. That was the problem. Vinny was a better salesman than Marty was.

I don't think any NFL team has ever won a SB after having an at home training camp. All of the Redskins SB wins were after camping at Carlisle.
This is another example where the football experts (Shanny and Bruce) need to be allowed to make decisions that are best for the football success of this team. In the past, Snyder has made decisions where the marketing success of this team was top priority. No more. Football first and marketing/sales will take care of themselves.
