Gentlemen, I know you've had a pretty tough year, and I know you've got more talent than 4-12.
The good news is, together, we're going to fix this and return to the winning tradition that is the Washington Redskin legacy. Now for the bad news:
If you think the 2009 season was tough, wait till mini camp, OTAs and training camp. Some of you marshmallows might want to start working with your agents on trades now, because I don't accept notes from mother ... for the rest of you tough guys willing to work hard, and be winners instead of whiners, you've got an excellent chance to remain Redskins. And though at some point in the coming weeks and months you might grow to hate my guts, in the end, you'll thank me, because we'll all arrive where we want to be ... where we belong ... winners.
Now go and enjoy your time off ... stay safe, stay out of trouble, and be in full football condition when we gather again in just a few weeks.

lol
91-69 in Denver since 1998 w/o horse face. That is the same time frame DS has owned the Skins and MS has had 2 division titles and only 2 losing seasons. His best post Elway years were with Jake the Mistake! If you can win with him, you can win with anyone (well maybe not Campbell - but we probably will see!).
So lets not pretend he can't win w/o Elway. He just didn't win the SB and neither did Shula with Marino. Peyton only has one ring and he is better than Big Ben and Tom Terrific but they have 5 rings.
I don't like Ratahan, but I know he is a good coach. I just wanted a guy that would lay down the law with these players and use some Nike motivational stragies (Kickem with one then tell just do it!)

Sorry Vet, these two statements don't add up. If it's your way or the highway, then Haynesworth would not be your type of player. Or have you forgotten about his cowardly attack on Gurode a few years ago? Or his reckless endangerment charges, or his throwing Redskin coaches under the bus. He's always had problems listening to his coaches.
There are lots of coaches who say, "my way or the highway" but then don't have the balls to apply that rule to any of the top players. The redskins need someone with balls and consistency.

The number one responsibility you have a coach is to get the most out of your players. If you don't assess your players, and then use them to their fullest potential, then you're not doing your job as a coach (see Blache).
I also believe in leaving the past in the past. Did he stomp Gurode's head this year? Those incident those charges originated from were in
Decbefore he was even a Redskin. And according to the article, it was misdemeanor wreckless driving and expired registration, not wreckless endangerment.
And I'm not going derail this thread with another discussion that can be found
here about Haynesworth and the coaching staff of the Washington Redskins. Everything he's done before he was in burgundy and gold was a previous chapter. It's what he's doing now is what I'm addressing and there are worse incidents that have happened here with other players than the controversial coaches issue addressed in another thread.
