I agree Vet - I just think that a Portis with desire can help get us through a season - I also think that a Portis with the right attitude can help better than any of the other guys here - this guy's a rare talent that to me just has a bad attitude lately
I agree that Portis has been treated differently here and it has hurt this offense but this guy is our best RB as long as he can get his head straight - not sure he wants to be who he can be but I do think that he can help as long as the desire to compete is there AND the desire to be a part of the solution and not continue to screw around
I don't think it will take too long for these guys to find out what they can expect to see from Portis

I think we have a pretty good group of players here offensively
Couldn't disagree more. We are severely lacking in talent on offense (other than at tight end).

while we have nobody that I am happy about on the offensive line we do have some players that I think will be a part of this franchise this coming season - the key here is that we have a group of players that will help the transition - it's not like we have nobody here that can play and contribute given better coaching and better play calling
one of the interesting things here is that there seems to be some who think that with a few additions this offensive group we have might be competitive this coming season - that is NOT happening - we are not as bad as some think but
we are not close to having an offense that can score points and be able to run the ball when we want to - we need to think in terms of long term as far as the offense is concerned - this offense is more than a few players away from being consistently effective
While Campbell is not going to help this team much he's possibly the best option we have - even if we bring in Bradford or a FA I think that we are going to still need Campbell - I am NOT a Campbell fan, there just does not seem to be many viable QBs available
While Frank says he'd like to see Campbell play behind a decent offensive line, that might happen if he leaves but by the time the Redskins have even an OK line, Campbell will not be starting here
I think that Shanahan has to look at bringing in Bradford and keep Campbell as the interim QB - IF Shanahan thinks Bradford could be our QB and play at a high level for 10 to 12 years then you have to grab him - we have to start looking at not just this coming season but what we want to have at the end of 2 years as well - despite the reality we may not have any games in 2011
