Thiesmann is such a kiss ass. He sits there and says that Vinny is not a bad GM and then he says, if I were president, I would find a GM. He walked right into his own web.

Thanks for the link RiC -

we all know what needs to be done and what most likely will happen - this is not getting any better soon and it's just simply because Snyder refuses to let go

I agree with Riggins and others, that things could be turned around here and in a short time frame BUT only if a young version of Parcells is brought in and given full control of the team :D
that is not happening for 2 reasons:
1) Snyder's EGO ('supported' by his close advisors) will not let him give up control of the team or be involved in some way - 'they' think they can make this team a success again

2) How much chance do you think we really have of Snyder being able to recognize the potential of a young Parcells in a potential candidate? - he's not going to listen to anyone and he has no idea of what it takes, so how in the world are we getting out of this mess? I want a GM, but, if that GM is selected by Snyder then we have to question his ability to get this franchise on track simply because he was selected by a guy that has ZERO knowledge about the NFL
my friends, we are really in a "dark place" - pardon the pun

Well guys,

I have a slim ray of hope. I will explain why ... hear me out.

I have analysed the personality of Dan Snyder. I have spoken to people who know him personally. I know people who have done business with him in the past. I know people who worked for him. I have done research to find ALL of the interviews given by him since the first day he purchased the Redskins.

From all accounts, I arrive at the following conclusions:

1) He fears the most economic failure. Some of you who think he has always been a business success would be misled. Not true. He does not want to fail again and several other ventures ... well ... are not going well.

2) He has ALWAYS sought respect, deference and even admiration from those who work for him. He feels that people underestimate his talent and ability to perform tasks which cannot be accomplished by the vast majority of people.

As a consequence, the organization has undergone a UNIQUE transformation from ALL other franchises for good (for him) and bad (for the fans):

a) The franchise has reached unprecedented economic success. The revenue is more than doubled and so is the value of the franchise from the original $800 million his business team paid for it.This is amazing if you consider the terrible value he had delivered over the years.

b) The football side of the operations is a DISASTER.

He knows business, particularly marketing. He does not know football.

As a summary: The only two factors which may effect or COMPEL change in his conduct are:

i) Loss of revenue; and

ii) Relentless and humiliating public ridicule.

I NEVER thought that the planets ever could align themselves to create the combination of compelling factors. After all, Snyder is one of the kings of SPIN and CENSORSHIP in Washington. He will try to distribute lollipops and sell snake oil again ... but people have seen through him. There is no return for Brian Mitchell, John Riggins, M. Schlereth, and a whole list of respected media people which now include editorials even in places like the New Yorker Magazine.

So, if you want to COMPEL change, ANY conduct or expression which leads to loss of revenue and/or ridicule works.

Cerrato said Riggins is doing this to try and get a job, which Riggo doesnt really deny...

This is a baseless accusation considering that most of the radio and some of the other media are controlled by Snyder ...

Rather, Vinny is getting back at him because Riggins is one of those who have held Cerrato accountable for this mess.

Let's face it - who has more credibility, Cerrato or Riggins? Is there anyone here, anyone, that thinks Cerrato has more all-round knowledge of the NFL, the coaching and the players than Riggins? please

I actually think that Riggins was a little more harsh than he needed to be - that's just my personal feeling BUT I totally agree with Riggins' about 1 thing - this franchise could become well again and in a very short period of time (1 to 2 years) IF Snyder were to let someone, like a younger version of Parcells, come in here and 'manage' this franchise

ain't going to happen if Snyder picks the guy, and it ain't going to happen if Snyder is involved :D so there is very likely, no chance

we can hope

I completely agree Cerrato is just trying to discredit him.

Here's a couple of questions that someone needs to ask Dan Snyder directly and demand straight answers:

"Dan, if you were and are such a fan of this organization since childhood and have seen the championship years, why have not surrounded yourself and the organization with those players and coaches from that era?"

"Why have you not at least bought in guys like Thiesman, Bostic, Schlereth, BMitch, Doc, Riggo, Mann, Clark/Monk as consultants or even tried to bring in Grimm as a HC to help you get back to "Redskins Football". Who would know best but them?"

To me, the way he has handled the organization since he purchased it is anti-Redskins. JKC would have never bought up all of the media outlets so he could control what was said and banned signs and fan interviews at the stadium.

The poster that did the research on him showed me that this guy is only concerned about himself and his money. He's the classic money hungry, spoiled egomaniac who when things don't go his way, uses his power to ban signs, censor the radio stations and ban fan interviews at the stadium. His apology was as calcuated as the Michael Jackson-Lisa Marie kiss. And what he actually said didn't mean anything. I disagree that he will change if he his is publicly ridiculed or his money is affected. He'll just make the adjustments using his power and keep it moving. Maybe, "dark-heart" is what this is.....

He'll have no other option THAN to change it if his money is effected. If the RIGHT changes are not made in the offseason, there should be a ban on all Redskins mechandise and tickets. Let's see him squirm out of that.

I have a feeling that if that happens, he'll take off his clothes and his mask and appear as Jerry Jones's son.

If there's any 'revealing' with Snyder, I'll guarantee two things, what will be seen will be short and small :)
