Yeah and how motivated would you be to do ANYTHING 5 days after your friend or family member was killed, let alone something you guys did together. Trust me, this team WAS motivated and won their last 5 games that year en route to the playoffs. When was the last time your team was in the playoffs? 1999? That's pretty good

That's hysterical; you accuse us of living in the past and then bring up a game from two years ago. ROTFALMAO

Even funnier, we made the playoffs that season. How'd y'all do?

whats so funny about it? how much has your team changed in that 2 year period? i know buffalos hasnt really changed to much, couple of new players, couple players left. but overall its still pretty much the same.

that 5 game span was a farce. one of those games was against dallas, and they didnt care about that game. I think another was against the giants, and they already secured a playoff spot. so they didnt care.

you were let into the playoffs. not caused you earned it, you just played teams that were crappy or didnt care.

Ah, yes. I forgot that not everyone plays in a division as bitter and tough as the NFC East.

Dallas didn't care about their Washington game? Yeah, sounds likely. ;)

By the way, the NY Giants were 9-5 after we beat them . . . hardly what I would call "already secured a playoff spot."

The game we played against the Vikings in that stretch ended their playoff hopes.

It's OK, I understand. We are pretty lucky to be in an exciting division, and not everyone knows what that's like.

you were let into the playoffs. not caused you earned it, you just played teams that were crappy or didnt care.

No, we faced more than the Buffalo Bills during that stretch. You guys did get one on us, though, I admit.

9 wins in the NFC gets a playoff spot. didnt seattle get in on an 8-8 record a couple years back?

i live in VA beach. All i hear about is the redskins. shoot, i live like 4 blocks from the local espn radio show "the game".

no i do not visit the patriots message board. i would rather stick to a team that the bills can actually beat.

DEFENSE: 4 of 5 categories the Redskins are better...

WSH YPG Allowed: 283.4
BUF YPG Allowed: 372.4

WSH Pass YPG Allowed: 164.9
BUF Pass YPG Allowed: 198.8

WSH Rush YPG Allowed: 118.6
BUF Rush YPG Allowed: 173.6 (32nd in the league = ummm, LAST)

WSH PPG Allowed: 17.6
BUF PPG Allowed: 21.1

WSH Takeaways: 7
BUF Takeaways: 18

OFFENSE: each team better in two categories, both still stink...

WSH YPG: 296.0
BUF YPG: 264.8

WSH Pass YPG: 202.6
BUF Pass YPG: 154.8

WSH Rush YPG: 93.4
BUF Rush YPG: 110.0

WSH PPG: 13.7
BUF PPG: 15.4

In addition, Redskins have MORE sacks in LESS games played... our back-up TE (yet to start a game) has BETTER numbers than the Bills starting TE... I think that pretty much sums it up, neither team is very pretty offensively, but the Skins D is much, much, much better than Buffalo's...

if you guys are so awesome, why are you 2-5 while the bills are 3-5? man i bet the loss to the lions stung a little.

whats better is people were actually picking the lions to win that game. so it wasnt even an upset, it was expected.

So the Skins Suck and the Bills rule... what exactly do the Bills rule?

The land of mediocrity?

The land of 'moving your football team to Canada?'

The land of never won a Super Bowl?

The land of lost 4 Super Bowls in a row?

The land of 'sure wish we still had Jim Kelly because we haven't had a competitive football team since then'?

How incredibly rich that someone from a team as bad as yours, is so trivial and so bored that they have to seek out the ire of a fan base that couldn't possibly care any less about you.

Note that nobody really 'bit' on your attempts to flame this message board - everybody just saw it for the empty, hollow attempt that it was.

Hey bud, we know how bad it sucks to have a crappy team - really we do - so you don't have to act like you don't know what that's like.

We also understand that we have the good fortune of at least looking at the organization's history and being granted some solace... how difficult it must be to only be able to point to things that you lost, and to point to the fact that you have no real winning history at all - only an 'also ran' history.

And on top of that, the league thinks so much of the fan base in Buffalo that they're doing everything they can to facilitate a move to... Canada? I live in Canada - nobody gives a crap about the Bills here either - there's actually more Lions fans than Bills fans. You go ahead and think to yourself that you're doing something special... I'm sure it will help you get through another wasted season - perhaps one of the last one's the city of Buffalo sees too.

My favorite Bills memory is Thurman Thomas and his helmet. Never in my life have I seen such a travesty from a professional athlete... most important game of the guy's life and he couldn't find his lid... pretty indicative of the Bills' impotence. My second favorite memory would be Scott Norwood's field goal against the Giants in SBXXV... well actually he was as wide right as your attempts at humor were, but it's still one of my favorite Bills memories... it won me a keg of beer and a few hundred bucks. I hate the Giants more than any team but the Cowpukes and the Beagles, but I knew I could count on Buffalo folding like Chinese laundry.

You say that you don't want to talk about the past, well how on earth do the Bills 'rule' then? They sure don't rule now... your name should have been skinssuckbillssucktoo. Oh yeah, and then there's that little caveat of you probably disliking the past as much as the present... and knowing that there's probably also not much future left. That has to suck. So I really feel for you; because as bad as your team sucks, at least right now you still have a team.

So I wanted to let you know that your attempts to flame the board actually brought a smile to a face, and made me somewhat happy... you made me realize that things could be worse for Redskin fans... after all, we could have been Bills fans. Thanks for your compassion and helping us see the silver lining...

Don't forget the music city miracle. That was funny as hell. Ah, a team that's in worse shape than us truly does make me feel better. Thanks for your post. It's actually funny that the Bills fans don't even realize that the franchise sucks so bad...they've grown to accept it as fact. The fact that you're arguing that your record is better than ours this year proves my point. How do you say "Go Jills" in French-Canadian?

Awesome, just awesome. Hey Bills fan, do you recognise those trophies, probably not. Oh wait, yes you do you've seen them on TV right? Awww shux man, don't feel bad dude.. we only won three with three different QBs and three different RBs.. I mean you guys did it with... Oh snap, my bad.

Hey, better yet, win one first and then come talk to us. No wait, that's not fair for the Bills.. get IN the playoffs and then come back. Shoot, that won't work either.. how about you MAKE A PLAYOFF RUN and THEN come back in here.. oh wait, I forgot you gotta deal with the Jets/Pats/Dolphins.. guess you won't be making a run after all huh man?

Anyways, thanks for the entertainment and next time at least put your thread in the proper place, this is hardly HOG WASH but more like "BULL CRAP"

The land of 'moving your football team to Canada?' ?????? that doesnt make any sense. at all. its the worst put down ever. please think before you post.

Never in my life have I seen such a travesty from a professional athlete... most important game of the guy's life and he couldn't find his lid... pretty indicative of the Bills' impotence." do you even know what happend? or are you just assuming it was thurmans fault? actually what happend was the people singing the national anthem moved his helmet while he was doing warm ups to put speakers or some cable there. when thurman went back for his helmet, it was gone. so pretty much people who had no right to touch a players helmet screwed over thurman thomas.
