Several things - 1) Vick, he may or may not be in the plans for next year but it at least shows the Eagles management is thinking about replacing McNabb; 2) The big restructure and pay day for McNabb in the last offseason where they, at the same time, rewarded him for his service AND moved most of his cap implications to this season thereby enabling them to cut him loose next year in his final year of the contract 3) they want Kolb to be the man or at least battle it out with Vick; 4) the sentiment of the ownership group seems to have lost patience with McNabb/Reid in never winning the big one; 5) McNabb's injury history and age 6) McNabb's insecurities and DIVAness have always made strange bedfellows with the team management; 7) They cut Dawkins the heart and soul of the team (and who may be more responsible for Denver's 4-0 start than anyone) when he still had game because they Eagles management would rather cut you a day early than a day late. if not for the inprobably run to the NFC Championship last season McNabb would be gone already.
For these reasons I think he is a goner.
Agree on Kolb being McNabb sucessor. They wanted to keep Dawkins for another year or so Dawkins wanted a 4 year deal and Philly is smart they decided to move in another direction. Give Mike Nolan some credit to.

Campbell has yet to prove he is anything better than average, and considering how frequently he plays very poorly, it's a travesty that he has not been benched ONCE, considering how much more productive our offense was with Collins.
Ramsey was benched for less. Thanks Joe!
I still sometimes wonder why Ramsey was the fall guy... Why? I think Patrick Ramsey could have been an extremely good QB for us. That dude got destroyed with no O-Line(much worse than this one), no running game, and an inept offensive system, yet I'd say he pretty much survived the 2003 season with a positive grade.
I'm an ardent Jason Campbell fan, but I'll admit the Bucs game has me starting to worry.

what the heck? cant we have a collective fantasy about someone NOT on the eagles or cowgirls? what a thread. why did i read this?!
uhh, okay. i have "friends" in the "new england" area that say that there is a "good chance" that "tom brady" will be traded to the skins for a "2nd rounder". ...feel better?

This is just a random observation. It strikes me that almost the same paragraph could have been written about Campbell 1-2 years from now, had Snyder / Zorn ditched on Campbell as early as last year. We would all be looking back and second guessing the decision. Rightly or wrongly, I think that's what would happen.

What? Two otherwise promising bright sports careers in other teams destroyed by mismanagement and constant change in Skins land?
The argument can be made that these two players would have succeeded under less adverse and chaotic environments elsewhere.
But there is no need to speculate. I have seen worse: I have seen actual GREAT players waste their talent and career in a fundamentally flawed organization knowing that they could have achieved Supebowls elsewhere. Jon Jansen and soon Chris Samuels and Clinton Portis come to mind.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
