I remember Arrington being the best player on some bad teams. I remember him ending Aikmans career on a clean hit, he just closed faster than Aikman thought he could. I remember Arrington returning an amazing interception for a touchdown to get the first win after an 0-5 start and turn the season around under Schottenheimer. I remember 12 sacks in a season. I also remember him being injured and benched for free lancing by Gregg W. And I remember him paying back money to get out of town, really helping the teams salary cap after it was obvious his career was over.
Not a hall of fame player, but don't let anger about how things ended overshadow the good things he did.
I think he was like a 2nd or 3rd overall pick in the entire draft. He was a bust considering his draft status and expectations. Of course he played some good games but not much better then Marvcus Patton or Shawn Barber were. Not saying he didn't play well but who is he to give out marching orders to fans, whom he dissed when he left DC for the Giants? lmao...he didn't do enough to gain that status. Lavar places himself in his eyes among Redskins ring of honor if you ask him and thats not accurate.

Agree with most of your statements, but disagree on the bust thing. To me, a bust is someone like Heath Shuler. Arrington didn't develop into Lawrence Taylor, but he wasn't a complete failure. Clearly Samuels and Bailey, drafted in similar positions and within a year of each other have been much much better. I'll take Samuels, Arrington, and Bailey in back to back drafts over Shuler and Westbrook any day.
With the Cardinals reaching the Super Bowl, is Dan Snyder officially the worst owner in the league?

We picked Lavar second and Samuels third. Ironically the Samuels one was the one people questioned if we didn't stretch for need. I was thrilled, and the first e-mail I got was from a friend of mine who's a Penn State alum/fanatic who told me we'd made a mistake. He told me for every eye-popping, highlight reel play he made he's make several mistakes each hurting as much as the great play he made. He specifically said he'd be out of position trying to make a highlight reel play and he'd be called for late hits and stupid penalties. I wish our scouting department was paying attention to that in the films.
Hail to the Redskins!

They were both busts, and at least Shuler was better in that it was evident it wasn't going to change faster and we moved on. Lavar is still a bad odor who won't go away.

What? His show is one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever listened to....I'd rather listen to 10 Jim Zorn press conferences in a row before I sit through an entire segment of LaVar and Chad Dukes. And I was a huge Chad Dukes fan when he was with the Junkies and with Oscar, but this pairing is terrible.
LaVar knows football? What? Ask Warren Sapp how much football LaVar knows.
