I think they are going to bring in the guy who does not make it on the Ravens squad. If Steven Houschka doesn't make the Ravens, I say we bring him in. He was clutch at "MY" NC State University and been very good in the Pro's too.

NO! "The fact of the matter is" that the kicker that they brought in has not exactly demonstrated that he is a much better kicker - that is not good

I am not totally against Suisham as a kicker _ I just think that we should have ensured that we have a better kicker on this team. I will not be surprised if they go with Rayner or Suisham - I just think that someone else should have been considered as well - having a really dependable kicker is huge and having that guy be able to kick the ball, high and deep on kick-offs is also a big advantage

Thank you, SJ... the point is, here is a 3 page thread arguing over which marginal kicker we should keep. Really... neither one is the second coming of Mark Mosely... so, until there is a real kicker to discuss... who cares?

I agree with this philosophy. I believe that we will end up picking up a kicker off waivers from another squad (whether it is from BMore or another team, I don't know). I haven't seen enough of Rayner to make an accurate judgement, but if he is really on par with Shuisham, we should look elsewhere.

you're right Trey - I initially supported Rayner as it looked to me like he has the stronger leg - ALSO - I do think that if someone is going to replace anyone on a team then they should "earn" that position and, here we are

hopefully we will have something to discuss here soon
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I agree that Raynor has a stronger leg, but from the little I saw, it seemed that Suisham's KO had better hang time. Just a thought.
