Here is my list:
Offense
QB - 3 Campbell, Collins, Brennan
WR - 5 Moss, ARE, Kelly, Thomas and Mitchell
RB - 4 CP, Betts, Cartright and Mason
TE - 3 Cooley, Davis and Yoder
FB - 1 Sellers
Line - 9 Samuels, Heyer, Dockery, Thomas, Rabach, Williams, Reinhart, Bridges and Montgomery (not sure about the last one)
Defense
D Line - 10 Carter, Daniels, Jarmon, Alexander, Golston, Griffin, Haynesworth, Montgomery, Jackson and Wynn
LBR's - 6 Orakpo, Wilson, McIntosh, Fletcher, Blades, Young
CB's - 5 Smoot, Rogers, Hall, Tryon, Barnes

So that's my 53 right there. Will be curious to see how many I get wrong. Think it'll be less than 5..just a gut feeling.[/u]
Who will be the Final 53?

I'm not sure I agree with your list though. I think Chase and Alridge have a legitimate shot. I think the team will keep five CB's, so Tryon and Barnes should be good to go, in my opinion.
I'm kinda interested in positions like DE and LB. What will happen with Wynn, Rob Jackson and Buzbee. At LB, you have to consider guys like Thomas, Young and Henson.

I really hope Wynn doesn't make it honostly.. He is old and way past his prime. There is no point. It's time to bring in the young guys and let em play. I'd rather keep Buzbee than Wynn. I'm tired of us keeping old guys on the team cuz of their "veteran" presense, (spellcheck?). When the starters already have that.tribeofjudah wrote:frankcal20 wrote:Here is my list:

It looks like Colt is going on IR, so Chase makes the roster. I doubt if we keep 10 DL, esp since 2 of our LB's also play DE, I think we keep Buzzbee but not Jackson or Wynn. We amy keep 7 LB's, my guess is Thomas.

PFT's reporting that not only is Colt going to IR, Chase is getting the ax. Not sure I like the thought of only 2 QBs, but Zorn needs to win this year, and he's pretty much toast if Campbell and Collins can't play.
Only real thought on shape is that with Orakpo and Wilson both listed as LBs, no way is the DE/LB split going to be 10/6. I'd guess 8/8 is much more likely; we'll need those bodies on teams.

The Washington Redskins say they've decided to put quarterback Colt Brennan on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, ruling him out for the season.
The team reported on its Web site Saturday that Brennan aggravated a nagging hamstring problem during Thursday night's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Brennan and Chase Daniel spent the preseason battling for the third-string job.
Still, Daniel will not make the 53-man roster and is unlikely to be a practice squad candidate, a team source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
The Redskins plan to carry just 2 quarterbacks on the 53-man roster -- Jason Campbell and Todd Collins.
