What I usually do is take the biggest contracts and try and extend them as long as I can. Then when their contracts hit the last few years and the big numbers really hit I extend them again.

After the first couple of seasons, once dead cap is gone, I never have any more cap troubles, and have plenty of money for free agents. Also offer to trade your #1 pick for another team's #1, then trade with the team with the worst record. And add picks on his side to sweeten the deal. Then trade two 3rd rounders for a 2nd, and so on until you have two or three #1's, which will become the first few overall picks in each round.

I've already thought of that and I've chosen the Falcons. It's amazing what a good QB and a solid line can do for your offense. The defense is not nearly as good as the skins, but it's adequate.

Since we're all skins fans, maybe no one should play with the skins.

...and let the record show that I suck. If I don't throw 3 INTs/game, I don't feel as if I've tried hard enough.

yeah, I looked in to that. I read that the AI won't let you rip off in trade picks now. Also, I checked a lot of the big contracts and it doesn't help with the $5m in cap space.
