At some point, he's going to do something stupid that will result in him being suspended or otherwise unavailible.

Maybe it's just me, but unless a team is desperate, or feels he is the final piece, why would you want to pay for a player with head problems?

Betts for Marshall?

I would do it in a heartbeat. Marshall is a top three talent at receiver. Betts is not even top 25. It is not like the Broncos are going to give us Marshall for Betts alone anyways.
They would most likely ask for Devin Thomas and Betts in for Marshall. Would I do it. You bet your bottom dollar I would.
Marshall has proved he can produce. Betts is a backup at best. If Betts was so good? Then why haven't teams been knocking on the door to get him? Come on get real. We would be stupid not to take Marshall if the deal was right.

That's fine... nice numbers...

And when he's not eligible to play? How many catches and yards will he have then?

Is he charged right now or is this future speculation?

But is Betts plus Thomas plus the 9 million a year he is reportedly seeking in a new contract worth Marshall (because he wants a new contract as well)? I'm really not even sure we could afford to trade for him and then sign him.

The dude has demonstrated repeated lapses in judgement.

The question Hamo asked is valid. Why are teams not all over this? Why is Miami, which is tailor made for a talent like this, not jumping all over it? Is there a better judge of talent in football than (gag) Parcells?

I just don't want him on my team... we'll end up like the Giants did, with Plax.

If they make this trade, I'll be constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop...
I'm not questioning his talent... I'm questioning where his head is. We have a long history of picking up incredibly talented WR's who are head cases... and I'm not fond of doing it again. Maybe you are ok with it... but I'm not. He's not the last piece needed to push us over the top, and, I don't think it's necessary to take the risk.

I'd love to be wrong, on this, BTW... and won't have coniptions if something were to happen... I do not place him in the same category as Adam Jones... Brandon's just a simple head case. Jones is truly messed up.

There are some pending charges from his former girlfriend. He contends that she is making them up in an attempt to get money. His lawyer has received two letters requesting money. This was ignored in the ESPN report.

The Superbowl was the result of the offense not messing up what the defense created...

However, the point that the Giants offense became completely dependent upon the presence of Plax in order to win is valid... as is the collapse of the Giants after his stupidity took him out of the game...

Just keep in mind that my point is, be careful what you wish... you may just get it... if that happens, I predict that you'll be happy... for a while. And, I'll hope I was wrong.

You know and I know that if Snyder really wants it he will make the numbers work. Just saying. I doubt this will happen but if Danny wants it he can make it happen.

Or it could come close to happening, but then McDaniels will decide that Lawrence Phillips or Maurice Clarett are better players, ala Kyle Orton. :D Denver drafted a running back in the first round and signed several in free agency. Any trade of Marshall would require a WR, not a RB.
