All that matters is this season. At least if it's a failure I can count on you all for excuses.

And if it's a success, we can count on you to act as if you knew it all along.

If we needed Thomas to start all year we would have seen comparable numbers from him. But coming in as a rookie he's just not going to displace Moss and ARE.

We didn't need him to replace ARE or Moss, but I think that we certainly did need him to do more as a rookie. Outside of Moss and ARE, we had 9 catches and 81 yards from Thrash and 15 catches and 120 yards from Thomas. Those are pathetic numbers for receivers that are #3/#4 on the depth chart. Now we can blame a wide range of factors for that lack of production, JC, Zorn, Thomas/Thrash, the oline, etc. But the bottom line is that outside of Moss and ARE our receivers did nothing last season.

I agree. The onus is on Zorn/Hixon to get them on track. Zorn needs to shake things up and they did a bit by releasing Thrash although their hand was forced. Zorn needs to put these guys in the game. Move ARE to the slot and put Kelly out there. JC needs to stop being narrow minded and look for someone aside from Moss.

Agreed. I think that if he can stay healthy he is going to be a special player. Imo he has far more upside than Thomas.

That one's a hard one to judge, especially with Thomas being a one year standout in college. I hope they both become monsters!

Malcom's size and hands could mean lots of td's; I'm really looking forward to seeing him get some real playing time. I'm betting he's the No. 2 on opening day

And 83 catches from our All-Everything TE!
