I hate the schedule... we suck at night games lately and we play all 3 of our division home games at night... we play @ Dallas and Philly back-to-back two years in a row, we're the Giants home opener again... it's set up like one of those, win 5 of the first 6 then lose 10 in a row, seasons... no sense in watching now, might as well move on to 2010...

All I gotta say is that I hope Landry learned from last year to get super low against Jacobs.. man o man, again like last year when it happened, Sean Taylor buddy, you would've stopped that truck

Sean Taylor may not have ran Jacobs over, but Sean still gave up 35-40# vs Jacobs with a full head of steam. I doubt Sean would have put Jacobs on his back.
...and even though Landry got bulldozed, Jacobs still went down b/c Landry had the awareness to trip him up as Jacobs trucked over Landry.

Sean Taylor would have made his presence known and I'm sure the two would have cancelled each other out.
Landry only made that tackle cus he tripped BJ while on his back...lol

my money would have been on ST, -35 pounds or not. I remember Brandon Jacobs saying ST played like he had another body in his closet (something like that). ST just knew how deliver the hits, my favorite was when he knocked out McNeal of the Chargers and caused LT to fumble...man i miss watching that guy play!

Sean couldn't defy the laws of physics... Sean would not have bulldozed BJ if he's coming at him with a full head of steam. At best, they would have cancelled each other out. It's more to it than how much they weigh. You have to take into account how they're built, how the weight is distributed, etc, etc...

Howd that go for us last year?

Jk, I'm glad we get them here too...get some revenge. I'm also glad to see we get to play the Lions again this year. I'm glad to see we are playing the Cowboys at the end of the year again. I like playing them when it matters: either beating them to get in or beating them to keep them out!
I think Sir_Monk was hoping to get to the game, which is possible for him in StL but not if it's played in DC.

Bingo!

See
Steve Atwater blow up Christian Okoye. Okoye was bigger than Jacobs...and Atwater just demolished him.

if ST and BJ hit eachother full speed im pretty sure it would create a black hole devouring fedex and all the unfortunate souls held within.

As far as the schedual goes i bet we go 5-2 in the first half and 2-5 in the second, just missing the playoffs to a lesser (slightly retarded) philly iggles

I'm still looking for solid improvement over record. I want to see JC be able to stand in the pocket and show what he's got. I don't want JC to fail b/c he couldn't stop picking grass out of his jock.
With that said, I am looking for an above .500 season. Dock strengthens an adequate LF where Kendal was. Get RT addressed (or by the grace of god, Jansen returns to form/Heyer steps up) and we're solid. I honestly believe our offense is that close to at least being adequate.
I will be content with 9-7 or above.

First of all, I'm pretty bummed that the Redskins are playing Denver at home. I was hoping for an away game so I could go watch them. (I am moving to Colorado Springs soon.)
Anyway, when you look at the sked, just go down the list and predict wins and losses. It's tough because things can change, but guys on sports radio do this all the time and they're usually not too far off:
1 Sun. Sep. 13
at Giants
-LOSS
2 Sun. Sep. 20
vs. Rams
-WIN
3 Sun. Sep. 27
at Lions

6 Sun. Oct. 18

7 Mon. Oct. 26
vs. Eagles

8 Sun. Nov. 01

9 Sun. Nov. 08

I just ran down the list, and I have 7 wins. Even if you gave a swing of 2 games either way it's still tough to argue that the Redskins are much better or worse than that. It'd be a big shock if they were able to be legit this season no matter who they draft.

Wow, you really think the Redskins are going 1-5 in the division, getting swept by the Giants and Eagles, and splitting with Dallas? Considering the Skins swept the Eagles last year, that's a big change.

Some quick highlights of the Redskins’ schedule:
For the second year in a row, the Redskins open the regular season against the New York Giants at the Meadowlands.
You beat me to this one. I don't understand why they have us playing the Giants again for the second straight year on the road.

Atwater was a real man, but to be fair, Okoye kinda stuttered before that hit. That was the problem with Okoye if I remember correctly. He didn't seem to have that killer instinct for a man of his size.

IF last year's team were playing this season, they might do better but with this team playing this year, I would be really pleased to see them end up 9-7
going down that schedule, I'm thinking 7-9 or 8-8
