Hell no to letting Cooley or Landry go....
Just let Campbell and some pix go...nothing else.

I don't know how I could possibly be a fan anymore if Cooley is dealt. Fans would be in an uproar. I would boycott any redskins apparel and stop going to games. Cooley is a producer and he has heart. He should a lifetime skin.

I'm already livid with the news that our FO is even thinking about making this trade.. but if we go through with this (and i am more than expecting we will cuz we always do) i hope it is similar with the Portis, Bailey trade. We get Cutler, they get Campbell and 2nd next year or something similar to that... and if we include any player, ESPECIALLY Cooley, I'd go into drinking rage for over a week.

I think the players would be ticked off if we traded Campbell and Cooley for Cutler. We have more needs to fill than just the QB. That is one position that I think will improve a lot this season if we could just keep him upright. Now, with the #13 pick, its more than likely that we could take a player to fill a hole on the o-line. I guess the coaches feel good with Jansen at RT.

At some point, as a fan, you have to say enough is enough. I don't think I'm there but I may turn into a SD Charger fan really soon if we keep doing this crap over and over.

Leaving aside any personal likes here (and I really like Cooley)

Giving up on the chance to sign a potential franchise QB in order to keep a Tight End dosn't seem a good idea to me

Looks like the Broncos want two 1st round picks for Cutler. Thats a steep price but id do it.

I dont know though if id trade Cooley in a deal for Cutler. Cooley is one of the best TEs in the league and he is probably our best offensive player after Portis. If the Skins do trade Cooley, Fred Davis better be the real deal.

Yes technically we could if we trade J.C. for a second round pick. I really hope this b.s. is just b.s.

The Broncos are going to need a QB after all of this, so that means either a high enough 1st round to get someone like Sanchez, or a trade involving another QB. The offer of Campbell plus the first rounder would satisfy that... plus Campbell (IMO) is worth more than a thrird round choice so that too would satisfy the Broncos demands.

At the end of the day, if Snyder really wants Cutler, then he will likely get him :)

Simply not worth it.

At first I was for it. But I think the price is to high. Cambell was played well the first half of the season then everyone else ran out of gas or was injured(O-line, Santana Moss,Clinton Portis). I think he will be at least a decent QB and maybe even better. Plus Cambells character is way better. I'am definetly against this now. We need players ot other positions(O-LINE and SLB) way more than a QB like cutler.

Maybe this is a inside dea made between Snyder and the Broncos l to drive up his price to other teams

Don't worry about cooley going. Denver wants to trade TE tony scheffler because he is a receiving TE and they are going more toward a power offense.

We need a starting RT, 2 starting LBs, starting DE, backup RB, backup G, etc etc etc

And our FO is trying to trade for a QB (Cutler) with a 2-point higher QB rating than the one we have (Campbell). PLUS - Cutler had better WRs and a better OL than Campbell. AND Jason handles everything with class - unlike Cutler.

This is why we are in last place every year. I would be unhappy if we swapped QBs even with Denver. If anything Denver should be sending us picks to take that headcase.

ok. look at campbell and cutlers numbers. cutler has more touchdowns and interceptions. so campbell doesnt turn it over as much. well what does campbell have that cutler doesnt? a run game. cutler would have a monster season as a redskin. portis would go crazy. he would get a lot of yards. and the redskins will have better receivers IF malcolm kelly and devin thomas are healthy. and th redskins OL looks a lot better with dockery. we should still draft a tackle though. devin thomas showed he could get open when he caught a 68 yard TD that came back b/c of a holding call. he still cant run great short and intermediate routes but he can run the deep route.i want cutler!!!!!!!!!!!

The Broncos want two first rounders. Not sure its worth that. It might be, but I doubt it. Its not like he has much to throw to here.

It depends what impact Cutler would make. If we do well, reach the playoffs and beyond then a 1st rounder next season will be in the 20's.

Cutler is something that the Redskins havnt had in 20 odd years .. a young, pro-bowl calibre franchise quarterback.

Absolutely no way u give up 2 first rounders for cutler.

Just ck out campbell response to these rumors. Now that's class and cutler needs to learn something from Campbell.

Look at past Skins QB's who have been traded, waved , or signed with another team and did something

Trent Green
Brad Johnson
Gus Ferotte
Stan Humphries

Cooley's not going anywhere.. lets get that settled right now. Danny may be alot of things but stupid & crazy, I really doubt that. Though his numbers weren't up to par last season, Cooley is still our best TE and maybe best reciever.

I don't know how ya'll can judge JC based on last year when healthy OL= 6-2, after injuries= 2-6. Let's keep it in perspective here my folks... JC's last year with us is coming up, if he does crappy, we let him go.. (don't forget about Colt guys).. if he does well, we give him another contract.

J-Cut is definitely faster on the run and has that "Favre-like" throw where he can toss it down the field in a risky fashion (hence I think 18 Int's). Keep in mind of this though, Denver in the AFC West is nooooo way the same as NFC East football. AFC teams in general are more pass happy which gives more opportunities for bad passes. Will he fit here, I don't know, I guess?.. Will Santana be his new B. Marshall? Maybe? Will our young gun WR's actually be able to make plays.. I guess in the end it depends on our healthy OL.

Oh well, I'm all for giving JC a shot on his last year but if we get J-Cut, I'll be cool with that too but I reaaaaaaally would love to keep our #13 pick though.

Side note, for the people saying "I wouldn't be a fan if we got rid of...." they screwed over a certain superbowl mvp qb right and ya'll stayed fans then, no need to give up on the team even if they make bad personnel moves, it happens my people. Oh, and yes.. our FO does need some fine tuning but lets see what happens. HAVE FAITH!!!!!

I really don't see why everyone is up in arms over a potential trade for Cutler. It's clear to anyone who has watched the tape of both Cutler and Campbell that Cutler makes much better decisions with the football then JC.

Had Denvers defense not been so horrible the Broncos would have won ALOT of games with him last year. The Redskins have not been able to put up points over the past few years even with Joe Gibbs at the helm so you have to ask yourself.... is it the play calling really? I seriously doubt it. It comes down to your QB making plays in the Red Zone. That is one area our team has been seriously lacking.

It doesn't come down to our WR's. They are a good bunch. It comes down to making quick "good" decisions with the football, and quite frankly I think
Jay Cutler does it better than Jason Campbell.

I wanted Cutler. Then I saw The Danny and Vinny wanted him and now I don't want him. But I also know that now we will get him and it will be horrible.

Afford?

When was the last time cost was ever an issue for the Redskins?

MY TAKE:

it is hard to turn down the chance for a pro bowl QB going straight into their prime. i was 100% for this before. now, one thing did worry me that drops me back to 75% for this.

1. the broncos scored more than 24 points on 5 occasions... against the raiders, saints, chargers, jets, and browns. probably 5 of the worse defenses in the NFL.

2. arguably, the best 5 defenses the broncos faced last year... patriots, panthers, bucs, jags, and dolphins... the broncos scored... 7, 10, 16, 17, and 17 respectfully.
