Its been nothing but sour grapes since then.
That may be true, but to crap on a perfectly decent story about an athlete going above and beyond to meet a person with special needs? While its true this story doesn't make automatically make Thomas a great player at least it shows the kid has a heart (which is rare nowadays.)
I just don't understand why

Some folks can see and recognize growth in a player. Others just rain on the parade.

This story has nothing to do with his football skills, so why try to make it so? It's the off-season, can't we just get behind the kid for showing a fan some love?

Yeah, b/c the Giants won the division and look what that got 'em. I don't think they won it the year prior, and I think that it panned out well for 'em. It's not so black and white as you so intelligently suggest.
Also, as stated, this is about the character of one of our guys. I like the story.

a story like this should be within the top 5 minutes of any sports show (ESPN,MSN,FOX,ect...)
this is a great thing he did and i bet my life on it that man will NEVER forget it!
Devon made a major effort to make this mans day! he went above and beyond!
i know this cause i met Mark May in 1988 training camp and he was sooooo nice to me to talk to me while he was washing his car and took time to talk to me! i never forgot it and i always think of that when i see him on espn.
the lead is (90%) of the time is something a dumb player did, say, or will do...
i know bad news sells, but sometimes people need to hear the good about people
(off my soap box)

MSU isn't Big East.

I think Jake's mom, SkinsChic, is going to ask NC for an avatar change now. Out with McCants, in with Thomas!
Terri...break out your BBQ and feed this young man!
