I'd like to go on record as to giving DS and VC credit for not going after T.O....
The list is growing...Please note that this only reflects teams that already have said that they’re not interested:
The New York Giants.
The Washington Redskins.
The Baltimore Ravens.
The San Francisco 49ers.
The Minnesota Vikings.
The Atlanta Falcons.
Here are the teams that likely will join the list soon:
The Philadelphia Eagles.
The Miami Dolphins.

Okay so TO had a conversation with someone from the coaching staff behind closed doors. Big deal. So did a few other players, but because its TO someone has to make a big deal out of it. Look I know that TO has made some mistakes in the past but who hasn't? The crap about TO in Dallas was all media.
What about Philly? What about San Fran? The media? Have you lost your mind? TO would be just about the worst thing for this team as possible. I don't know where he is gonna land. NE already has Moss and Welker so there is really not a need at WR. I don't know who is going to want to take on those services.

No my friend I have not lost my mind. There are players in the NFL that have done worst stuff and don't get near the crap that TO gets. Don't know what happened in SF, but what happened to SF since he left? Secondly the situation in Philly the Eagles were no saints in this situation. The owner of the team had TO go on that monday night situation with Nicole Sheridan and then when TO was getting blasted for that situation the owner didn't have enough courage to go to the media and set the record straight that he had TO do it. Then when TO got hurt and was working his butt off to be ready in time for the super bowl right before the game they made him sign a waiver saying that if he got hurt then they can release him without paying the rest of his contract. What crap is this? And then after the Superbowl they asked McNabb after the game what he thought about the miracle comeback from TO. McNabb said and I quote it was okay but it took away from MY PERFORMANCE. Also to Cory Simon who used to play for the Eagles at the time when TO was there who by the way is a Born Again Christian even said himself that TO was not the problem in Philly, that Philly had problems before TO even got there. Then you already have what I wrote about Dallas. As I said before yes TO has made mistakes in his past but a lot of this crap that we are hearing is all being blown up by the media.

I'm sure he has several good classes he could teach to our young, impressionable WRs:
Exercise Physiology 101: "Situps in Your Driveway: Crunching To a Better You"
Chemistry 101: "How to Ruin Team Chemistry"
Sociology 101: "How to Throw Your QB Under the Bus"

Whatever. He has skills that are coveted on the field. That influence could be valuable. If these same guys are that weak of character where they pick up that attitude, then they might have developed it otherwise. Sometimes it's more trouble than it's worth to have a thought outside of the herd...

Actually there's a difference.
T.O. (much as I hate to admit it) has talent as opposed to skills
You can learn a skill, but you cannot learn talent.

First of all, if you don't even know what happened with TO in San Francisco, then why are you defending this guy?
Secondly, TO is a megalomaniac and has serious psychological issues, to the extent where he has repeatedly thrown his own teammates, especially his quarterbacks, under the bus. Why the hell do you think Dallas is cutting him therefore taking a 9M dollar cap hit after signing a contract extension with him a YEAR ago? This speaks volumes about his nature as a teammate and that a team like the Cowgirls, who openly welcome and harbor criminals and outcasts, couldn't even stand him.
The entire episode in Philly was far from a "miraculous comeback". It was a desperate attempt from a guy to take advantage of the largest stage on TV (the Super Bowl) and to use it to steal the limelight. If you think this was a heroic effort, you're sadly mistaken.
TO is now 35. He's slow. He is atop the league statistically almost every year in dropped passes. History has proved with him that he is a "me first" player and not worth the hassle. Need more proof? How about NO teams have called TO or his agent. If anything, they're tripping over each other to announce that in no way are they interested in bringing in a cancer into the locker room.

I'm sure there are WRs out there that have watched game tape TO trying to figure out how to best emulate his results. Anyone picking up any of the skills or trying to emulate the talent he has can be nothihng but beneficial IMO. Yes, it's a gamble, but it's one that has to be considered.

1. He HAD skills that were coveted, but he's clearly on the decline.
2. He's a physical WR, one that has succeeded because he's physically powerful. His technique is generally terrible, and he plays half-assed part of the time (he's got a nice case of alligator arms).
3. I forgot the most important class he could teach our young WRs:
Passcatching 101 "Drop it like it's hot"
I can't see the benefit of him being here. Really. You'd take away from playing time of the youngsters, and you'd introduce a guy who's been ditched by three teams in six years, because despite his production on the field, he's a total clubhouse cancer. And although his production is clearly dropping (despite complaining and getting more passes thrown to him last year...he had a grand total of 2 100 yard games), his off-field antics are worse than ever.
It's a loser's bet that despite all of his well documented history, he's going to come to the Redskins and act like a mentor to young players. That's just not who he is.
