I know that my performance has been less than stellar this season but I still want a BYE in the next round. That Countertrey guy is going down this week.

Let me add my thanks in there too, Hoss. Thanks for keeping this thing going...and I'm glad you finally made it to the lighthouse lol.
I hope somebody explains how the playoff picks work, because I'm gonna be in 'em.

It is very simple:
1) JSPB does the seeding of the best posters in two Conferences.
2) RiC wins the THN Championship Bowl after several one-on-one playoff rounds all the way to the NFL Superbowl.

Okay. That absolutely didn't shed any light on the situation for me. But thanks anyway.

It follows the playoffs, but you also give total points for the weekend as a tiebreaker. The visiting hognosticator makes his picks first, allowing at least two full days prior to the first game for the home hognosticator to make his picks. The Championship game is in neutral territory, so the picks are PMed to an impartial judge. (this was the thread RiC linked to.)
That help?
Edit: At least that's the way I ran them. Now that the playoffs are officially a THN sanctioned event, I'm only a contestant in the tournament.
(as I have been every season of it's history.

That makes it a little more clear. I assume the home/away hognosticators are picked according to finishing seeds. It will no doubt become clear once the postseason starts. Thanks guys.

JSPB, hey I'd forgotten that you take care of the playoffs.

Please continue to do so as in the past if you are willing.
I am not sure about any official THN sanction. As far as I know the site only "sanctions" the regular season champ.
