Taylor's too light to play DE... I think we have LBs that are bigger than he is.

I don't know much about taylor exept what his numbers say, he may be able to get to the quater back with a better tackle,

Wahoo McDaniels wrote:Nobody's trading for him. Our best bet is that he gets a huge deal to star in a bad action film with Jean Claude Van Damm and he decides to retire.
Or maybe he gets called back to the Dancing With The Stars reunion show.
He may be able to dance, but he couldn't find a QB if it kicked him in the butt!

he can't be a total let down, only I would like to see some pressure and in the system that he is running in, rocky gets alot of action. sooo he is atleast not getting pushed all over the field, a trade would be dumb. I hope we can send him straight to the qb more, and let our backers take on the run game against cinci, especially since hall is out there,
. I am also looking foward to see if smoot will be able to play some.
the corners need to contain this week and if they can then the nickel could work.

Taylor is due $8 million in 2009. "I'm a realist," he said. I'm not worth $8 million. I've had two surgeries in the last two months...but at the end of the day, I'll be the first to tell you, I stink right now." Taylor has only 25 tackles (17 solo), 1.5 sacks, and no forced fumbles in 11 games.

Ah yes, another almost 30 or 30+ defensive lineman pickup by the skins. That would be great. Let's waste another draft pick on a guy we will have to pay top dollar for entering the twilight of his career.
I don't discount his numbers this year, but the day after you give him a Snyder-esq paycheck, we'll see if he has the hunger he had in his contract year.
Lets get players through the draft. You know, the way that good teams do it.

Where do people get this stuff??? Good teams do BOTH.
Matt Cassell and Tom Brady were drafted...
Randy Moss came via trade. Wes Welker was a FA. They seem to have done ok.
The Redskins in the 80's did both. They appear to be trying to do both now.

Yes, they do both. Mainly they go thru the draft and sprinkle on a FA here or there.

Isn't that what the Skins have done the past 2 years?

True to that. Most of these sack leaders have an awesome force for a DT or great CBs to shutdown recievers. We lacked in both areas from not having it to injuries.

Yes. But the issue, as I described in another thread is...
Player evaluation.

go to the draft and get a tackle but depend on the line backers and lets please keep the coaching staff after all 2years then poof we need to get new backers at the second level, and leave green and # 48 could fill some holes.

I hope so. He looked horribly slow out there last week.
So then he covers an area of the field for a change and we don't need a run persuit guy, but then watch the skins will get beat to the edges soooo when montgomery gets all huffin and puffin out there then what.
Draft a tackel vinny per re4dskins14ru

We've been beaten in the trenches all year and the defense particularly late in the fourth, draft dt but also get a center and a left guard, or whichevers opposite rinehart's guard spot.
On Offense we're better next year with Samuels _____ ______ Rinehart and Heyer

I don't really care about the past two years (since we have not had the opportunity with our cap situation), but our team did not come through the draft. The majority of our players: CP, Moss, Fletcher, Hall, Springs, Smoot, Rabach, Sellers, ARE, JT, etc. came outside the draft. We did not "sprinkle" our team with FA or trades. Only a handful of our players were drafted:

ey, JC, Samuels, Jansen, Rodgers.
If we are to succeed as a franchise, we need to learn how to draft. That's the glaring problem right now.

team defense will be the key and for the resume of taylor to include crashing and playing the run for a year won't hurt, not to mention as long as we are vinny we pray for a free agent dline man or a trade, only draft a olineman in the first round, to free up taylor and to turn him loose on the qb will be nice, thanks coach balche

I think he's finally recovered from his injury. People don't realize how serious it was. Frankly, I don't know why he hadn't been placed on IR.
But, I'm glad he wasn't.

True and assuming that he will be a Redskin next year (i don't know much about his contract), I'm looking forward to seeing him 100% healthy next year and being what he was today.
