Jerome Bettis just said that the Skins are the 2nd best team in the NFC...I like the love, but what is he smoking?

Well, now that I think of it...we beat the Cards and the Boys.
The Cats are overrated, the Falcons are young and are a good story, but I still think they'll finish 3rd in the South and miss out of the playoffs.
The Bucs are real good. They might be the 2nd best team in the NFC.

NFC Power Poll:
1. Giants
2. Buccaneers
3. Cowboys
4. Redskins
5. Cardinals
6. Packers
7. Falcons
8. Panthers

Redskins Offense not using weapons

The Redskins drafted two receivers to have a more potent offensive air attack, however they rarely use a spread set. With Moss, Randle El, Thomas and Kelley I think yje Redskins can throw over the top several times a game. Against the Giants we will have to score touchdowns. I hope Zorn opens up the offense

Just wanted to say to all the Redskin fans! Thank you for a great week. The better team won and I wish you guys the best of luck throughout the rest of the year. I still wish we had let Jim Zorn take over instead of Mora, but it's in the past. You guys have a great team and hope that for the best for your season.

didn't get to watch the game, so just a few quick questions...

1) did deangelo hall play, saw no stats for him.

2) saw kelly had 2 catches, was that all he was thrown? how did he look otherwise?

3) was devin thomas involved at all?

That was the most pleasant Seahawk fan to visit this site. Restores my faith in their team a little bit.

Portis is over 1,200 yards rushing on the season

Even more significant, Sonny mentioned that it puts Portis just behind Larry Brown, number 2 on the Redskins all-time list.

If anyone deserves to pass the HoF-deserving Brown, it's Portis.

I saw cooly split wide and loved it the receivers are going to be there and #12 was tough today...the best overall play- the touchdown toss to #82. All the little things are what makes the offense work and that was a great throw and catch. Does any body know were to get the injury report

With just a little luck, he will pass the great Larry Brown next week.

Thanks Hawk. Appreciate the wishes.

That's a solid win. Would have been nice to have a blowout, but I just don't think this team is capable of blowing anyone out.

Guys. Nice win today but it sure was ugly. It seemed like we would be working them and then just shoot ourselves in the foot. I can't say that Seattle did anything to beat us outside of having a few drives that put up points but that's a pretty veteran offense and they had the one big run. Would like to see a bit more consistency from our Skins and put more points on the board......

That missed fg looked like a snap issue. Just my two cents.

Going to be interesting to read the game thread to see how many had faith and knew that we were the better team and would find a way to win and who did not

Some observations:

Our D is our saving grace (secondary more than the D line)
Portis is such a stud - hope he has staying power
JCam is getting better and better
We need to throw deep more and score some pts
Landry saved a sure TD - man he's quick
Betts is rusty - he owes Springs some good dinner.

Oh and lastly....jason and jason from Wash Post are 2 BONEHEADS who are always hatin on the Skins. They both announced on Comcast that the Skins would lose this game.... What now suckas.......

My Defensive Gameball goes to Laron Landry:

His speed and quickness saved a sure 6 points. Instead, they settled for 3 pts.
He caught an INT - which led to one of our TDs.

For that, he gets the game ball.... HAIL

This game was too close for comfort. Man we should be winning these games by more!

Anyways Ill take it. Hard fought game. Thanx to our defense. Portis what a warrior.

We have to rest him. Yet we keep needing him to play.

Great win for Zorn in a place that we have had difficulty playing. As a guy who used to live in Seattle and had to endure those fans during the last two playoff losses, I can attest, it may be the toughest place to play in the NFL. So, regardless of what it looked like, it was a big win.

With that being said, we can't expect to hold offenses to 88 yds passing. Once again, the secondary was amazing. Anybody who watched the game can appreciate the few receptions they did get as "earned catches" meaning our DB's didn't get beat, the QB and receiver just made incredible plays...only a few even come to mind of that variety...mainly Smoot and Springs on diving plays they narrowly missed. A few notes though...

- Offenses are audibling at the line to run directly at Jason Taylor. He was getting destroyed. He's not getting any pass rush, so why is he playing?

- Our LB's are playing great, but I'm concerned about HB in coverage. Last week, Witten manhandled him and this week Carlson seemed to be open a lot as well as the RB's coming out of the backfield.

- Kicking/punting game continues to struggle. Danny Smith is one of the best, why can't we get this part of our game figured out.

- Like the way that Zorn is using Campbell...the bootleg fits his mobility perfectly. With Jansen consistently getting beat, having him stand in one spot allows the DEnd to speed rush to get a spot rather than have to look up and find where he's at.

- Does anyone else hold their breath whenever Ladell Betts gets in the game?

- Consistently this entire season, the same thing happens. We run Portis on 4-5 runs in a row and get the drive going. He comes out of the game and the drive stalls. What does that tell you. It happened 3 times today and the last time almost killed us.

- DeAngelo Hall needs to stay a Skin. He looks great out there.

- Also love what McIntosh have done.

I was away and missed most of the summer and draft scouting does anyone got any good links to a report on thomas and kelly, today was great and I already miss the saftey blitz, any rookie of the year motions
this is actually only my third game back so that I could watch.
