I am sure she might consider this statement as a step forward. It won't solve all the problems but it would be a great first step.

I'm loathe to give advice about someone else's marriage, but I would say that keeping your distance from the kids may not be the best path, especially since they have been down that road before. I suggest you let her know that you want to stay involved in their lives, even if the two of you can't work things out. Never fight your battles through them, and always let them know that they are loved. I have already prayed for you Jeremy, and will continue to do so.
