I am sure she might consider this statement as a step forward. It won't solve all the problems but it would be a great first step.

I read that as she is blaming him for all the problems.

I'm loathe to give advice about someone else's marriage, but I would say that keeping your distance from the kids may not be the best path, especially since they have been down that road before. I suggest you let her know that you want to stay involved in their lives, even if the two of you can't work things out. Never fight your battles through them, and always let them know that they are loved. I have already prayed for you Jeremy, and will continue to do so.

jeremy: I pray that God's peace would guard your heart and mind as you work with your wife to restore your marriage. I pray that He grants you the wisdom to lead your family toward healing.

On a side note: I strongly recommend the movie "FIREPROOF". It's no cure-all. for sure, but it will give you some good advice. - TRO

Jeremy, the Almighty God works in mysterious ways. At times, it's suddenly and swiftly. Hold fast, stay faithful to the Lord... He will bless you and your family and restore your marriage.

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Pro 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

You're all in my prayers....
Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron,
so one person sharpens another.
