Oh boy...they are giving away Redskin Towels at the game to the first 50,000 fans. A day late and a dollar short.

I think we will win this game with or without Portis - it will be tough without Portis but we only need to play mistake free football to win this week.

I think we will beat the giants on Nov. 30th too - everyone on the field that day is going to up for that game - there will be a lot of doubters in the stands who think the giants will win because they are the "better team" - better teams do not beat teams that have the will to win. I believe the Redskins will really want to show that that first game was just an aberration.

I really do not think that we will win out but if we continue to play together and have Portis healthy at the end of the season, anything is possible. In my opinion the bye week came at a really good time for everyone and we are now going to see this team finish the season off.

One game at a time and it starts with the pukes in our house.

I think Zorn will lift himself and his coaches and players to another level and it all begins this week.

We are not in the same league with the Giants IMO..that's why I think this game is so critical...If we can beat the Boys and Eagles at home and win our 3 of 4 road games I think 11-5 will give us a home playoff game??

This will never happen. What we need to do is get our younger guys to step up. We can't lose games cus Moss is gimpy. Get Devon involved, James Thrash isn't the answer. Get Fred Davis involved. Make them respect our passing game.

I disagree that "This will never happen." - I think the team this year has improved a lot quicker than we expected primarily because of the combination of our experienced players playing very well and the younger players helping out considerably better than expected. Maybe the 3 top picks have been a disapointment BUT I have a feeling Zorn is still working on them being a factor and soon  - I feel there must be some hopes for Kelly or he would surely be on IR by now.

I thought that we might be a decent team but we are a lot better than that and I think that we have not played nearly as well as we are capable.

I am looking forward to a decent finish to this season and while I think the defense will continue to keep us in games - I am looking for continued
improvement from the younger receivers.

I was referring to players being at 100% They'll never be that healthy during the season, that why we need guys to step up and be allowed to step up so that others can heal.

I agree DEHog - we are not as good - but I can remember a number of games, with the giants especially, that we were the far better team and lost the game - both here and at NJ.

They are a very good team but they are not vastly superior and can be beaten - IF they had a better coach and a better QB they might be the best in the NFL right now. We can beat the giants.

Redskins games with the giants always seem to go to the team that wants it more - I think Zorn will have this team better prepared to win that game because he will have his team better prepared than Coughlin and because he wants his team to win - Coughlin is not as in tune with his players and coaches as Zorn is.

I think we win this week because we have had a week off & as important as Portis is to us Romo is very important to them - he will not be as good as he needs to be.

While we may beat them that still doesn't put us "in their league" We did it last year. I think they will win 12-14 games, I don't see us winning that many games.

Everyone said the same thing about Dallas when we faced them in week 4. We only lost the first game against the G-strings by 9 points on a night when their stadium was rocking from the SB trophy celebration prior to the game. We have ST going into the ring of fame that day. I say they are beatable, both for that game and the division title.

Hey it could happen and I hope it does!! They do have a toughter road then us but with a three game lead (because they beat us already) and being 3-0 in the division...I think they will win it.

We have not shown that we can play with the likes of Pitt, NY, Tenn.
As for the Dallas win...they are not who we thought they were.
I was more impressed with the Philly win.

We haven't played the second game yet, so the extra game lead you're giving them doesn't really count. If we win our second match-up, we tie on the head-to-head and division records. We need them to also lose a game to Philly or Dallas, or any two games, for us to control our own destiny.

I have to disagree with your assessment of our upcoming game in Seattle. As you say those were "playoff" losses which means they were a playoff team. There is no chance with a 2-7 record they're a playoff team this year. Couple that fact with Hasselbeck being injured and Seneca Wallace being the starter...that gives us a HUGE advantage. There's also been a big drop off in their defensive production as well. Much like the Cleveland and Detroit games we will win that game. But...I don't want to look past Dallas. WE WILL BEAT DALLAS BY 2 TOUCHDOWNS!!!!

I think it's pretty foolish to disregard any opponent after seeing how the Redskins play down to their competition -- especially Detroit. I agree, Seattle is definitely hurting and the Redskins should be favored, but there are no easy wins out there.

Two more games to win the division by a one game margin, or one more division loss to win with tied W-L record.

I still think we were the better team last year in the playoffs, but we lost nontheless. Seattle's stadium is DESIGNED to be the loudest in the league. That is a factor. I don't say we're going to lose in SEA, but to discount them is foolish in the very least.

We haven't beaten anyone this year by 14 points, so I'm not banking on that one. I'll take a W with any score and no serious injuries.

With the recent release of CP's grade 2 MCL sprain:

IMO, this is gut check time for the passing game. It's common knowledge across the league that CP is our bread and butter. Let's show the Cowboys this week that we are NOT one dimensional. I honestly feel as good as the Dallas front 7 is, that we need the passing game to spark and we have the tools for it. Moss, Cooley, and ARE can be a nice base package. With CP out, we'll need to keep a TE in for protection moreso than if CP is in, so that means that Thomas, Davis, or ARE need to have a big game to succeed. If one of those guys (or the obvious guy, our COWBOY KILLER) doesn't, the running game probably won't carry us this week.

I agree, Vet. We all know the run game is ahead of the passing game due to the system change in the passing scheme. But I believe it should be utilized more at this point. Maybe Zorn has been "protecting" his QB so he doesn't make mistakes while learning the new offense, but we have the weapons and receivers to make that transition easier.

I believe they need to get Thomas going and use Cooley and/or Davis much more in the red zone. Although Moss is a great receiver, going to him so often on 3rd downs and not spreading the ball around is limiting the offense. I'd definitely like to see the passing game improve and open up.

I'm scared that we are 1 dimensional. This has been a problem for the past few years. James Thrash and ARE carrying the load? LOLOL

However, 1 person gives me hope. That's Fred Davis. He should be utilized like San Fran used Vernon on MNF, as a slot WR. I doubt that we're that creative.

lol... hey, but let's not forget that we have a new head coach implementing a new offense, and especially an offense that emphasizes a passing game. A WCO is not a one dimensional offense. I'm not surprised that the passing game isn't in full swing yet. In reality, it takes a bit of time. Leaning on a teams strength, such as the running game in this instance, is actually a wise thing to do while implementing the passing game.

Our three 2nd round picks were drafted for a reason, to bolster our receiving corps for the passing attack of a WCO. Yeah, the injuries to Kelly and the slow development with Thomas have been frustrating, but the passing game will get going.

Perhaps Zorn took a look at the schedule before the season started and said he would lean on that running game for the first nine games while the passing game got up to speed. We're not at practice so we don't know what they're working on, but I gotta think it's the passing game.

Maybe, and I sincerely hope so, the passing game will come alive in the second half of the season. Teams are now prepared to stop the running game, as there is plenty of game tape from this year to study. Switching to a more pass heavy offense (while still remaining balanced, I might add) after the bye week might have been a goal. Can't say for sure, but we'll see.

One main thing being overlooked here is the health of the offensive line. Samuels is not healthy and Kendall didn't practice today.

We won't run OR pass if the O-line is compromised.

Looking at my earlier statement about winning by 14, the caveat would be with a healthy O-line.
