I think we keep CP in there when we need him. He gets every yard possible.

Great, great game. Wow. Such poise, coming back from the early adversity. I love the way Zorn is adapting (team seems to get better as the game progresses - sign of good coaching), and using the pass to set up the run. The team's just firing on all cylinders now. My only (minor) concern - a second week without a sack. McNabb had some time back there, which is a concern. Still, the D-line shut down the run, so I'd still give 'em a B+ on the day.

I'm looking at longevity. That's a lot of hits that man is taking. You're abusing him now, he won't be here later. Betts, to my surprise, is doing better this year in the "interchangeable backs" theory that I did not support last year. Betts gets better the more he carries, so I don't think it will really hurt us if we're closer to 75/25.

I agree, but we need to cross train Betts into a chipping RB too. He'd be in there more if he could help block. He needs to get the mindset of CP, get them back.

I have to say that I likes, I likes.
There is something that is different with Greg Blache and GW that has this defense playing at a high level. One thing that I do notice about this defense is that we are slow starters. Kinda like boxers like Antonio Margarito. Start slow but get stronger as the game/fight goes on.

The biggest glaring difference between GW and GB is the corners are "up" on the recievers... So much so that even Rogers makes plays.
j/k on rogers, he's having a helluva year

All things taken into consideration, one thing that I am extremely impressed about is that we ate up the last 7+ minutes to end the game with the kneel to win play. That was impressive.

Incredible!

yes it was. Buges just ran his vintage run plays sprinkled with a dash of West Coast Offense. What impressed me the most is overcoming adversity in a hostile environment (even the Zebra's we against us there for a sec). That is amazing.

Great job by the D, particularly Fletcher, Carter, and Rogers. The offense was slow to get going and the D kept the Iggles off the field.

After the way this game started (it looked like the Skins were gonna get blown out), they played with poise, patience, and determination, which is a sign of a good team. They kept their cool and prevailed. For the first time in a long time I'm proud to be a Skins fan! I truely believe this team has the potential to go all the way this year. Let's just hope they don't have a let down over the next couple weeks while playing these scrub teams.

Significant stat - Skins 11/19 3rd down conversions for 57%. Good job!

The defense held Westbrook to 33 yds rushing and the entire team to only 58 total yds rushing. Even though no sacks, the d-line held their own. Meanwhile, the Skins put up 200+ yds rushing on the top run defense.
Kudos to Zorn for sticking to a game plan that included many runs and a balanced attack. Nice day for

ey opening up the running attack.

less than that, man, we didn't give up the PR for a TD, the ZEBRA squad gave them that.

Seriously, this was an impressive win. The Eagles were desperate for a win, and playing at home...and the Redskins still won.
We're a very poised team, and we play better in the second half than the first, which was always a hallmark of a good team for me. I hate to do this...I really do, but under Gibbs I, we were always a great second half team. Gibbs II, we folded a lot in the second half.
This team is just full of heart, keeps working, and fights hard. I would have been happy with a 3-2 record after the first 5 games...ok with a 2-3 record (assuming we'd lose the 3 away NFC East games). It's almost inconcievable that we're 4-1, winning at Dallas and Philly.
