I dont like the pre season either. i think there should only be two games but it is what it is so we just need to sit all important players for a lot of the time but we still need to play them long enough to make sure everyone is on the same page with the new offense in game situations. Portis does worry me though because he is the heart of the offense and i dont want him hurt in a meaningless game like a few years ago.

I think the preseason serves important purposes. We should play the starters very little in the early games, just enough to bring them up to game condition by the end of preseason. Instead, the games should be used to evaluate players down roster. If they get more opportunity, some may wind up surprising people.

i agree. it does help find some hidden talent but i just hate when key players get hurt in meaningless games. it does help us find talent like mike espy but unfortunetly (cant spell) he got hurt
