Really? Good, I'm actually glad. That may mean they'll look to the draft for a WR.
Me too. No doubt about it, Hackett is a very talented guy. But we simply don't need a player that can't stay healthy and contribute on the field. I hope that we draft a receiver (I think I've now mentioned Sweed and Kelly in just about every thread), but I also wouldn't mind seeing us make a run at Bryant Johnson provided he comes at a reasonable price.

Are you sure about that? I haven't been able to find anything about Hackett re-signing. The Seahawks did sign TJ Duckett to a 5 year deal yesterday; could you have gotten the two players mixed up?

I haven't seen it anywhere either, also haven't heard anything about Bryant other than what comes from him or his agent

I should have linked it. I KNOW that's what I read, but I can't find it. Maybe it was put out and rescinded, who knows.... that's what I get for not linking it....

Seahawks: Hackett could remain in Seattle
The News
D.J. Hackett, who has received little interest on the open market, still has an interest in rejoining the Seattle Seahawks, according to the News Tribune. There are also reports that Buffalo might be interested in Hackett if talks with Bryant Johnson don't work out.
Our View
It appears that Hackett's vast injury history has put his free agency stock in a deep freeze. Hackett was placed on injured reserve missing the entire 2004 season due to a sports hernia injury. During the past three seasons, he has missed 15 starts due to various leg injuries.

According to this ESPN Insider Article, as of March 5, he's still unsigned.

Perhaps you confused TJ Ducket for DJ Hacket. I almost did the same thing.

Maybe Vinny will also get confused and trade a few picks for TJ Ducket.

Holy Crap! I didn't know he missed that many games?!
If the Skins do sign him they should not pay that much for him, unless they put in some clause to protect him them in case he has two or three season ending injuries.

I think the skins should go for a more incentive based contract offering. You don't put out, you don't get paid. That and put a modent cap on the draftee's initial contract and I think the NFL woul dbe a lot more competitive place.

That's what Elliot Spitzer said to the prostitute. You see how well that worked out for him.

Maybe because it's hard to see something that isn't there.

A lot like the Seahawks signing of Hackett....a mirage maybe?

The Panthers assured D.J. Hackett that he will be their starter opposite Steve Smith in 2008, according to Hackett's agent.
