i think it's BS. why would new england give up 2 first round picks for a running bakc when they can pick up someone like staley or hearst for nothing? i understand the age thing, that they may be looking for a franchise back rather than someone who is toward the end of their career, but it would still seem like a steep price to pay. it's not as if the patsies can't win without a probowl back, they've done it twice already.
