My take on the sat. was this.

There were two key factors.

1) 12th man
2) Patrick Kearney(sp?)

I totally did not think the 12th man would be that big of a factor going in to the game. But after seeing our offense, with all the not knowing were to go, not hearing TC and false starts, I think that was a BIG difference. It looked like one time TC was calling for the ball to be hiked and the center didn't hear it. Looked like he was telling him to hike the ball and he wouldn't. Then, Did you guys see TC fuss at Mike Sellers? That was all because they couldn't hear.

That being said, if you take that away, Would have been a different ball game. Thats the main thing as to why our O couldn't get going, and why our team didn't play with the emotion they have had in the last games. These guys cound't even hear themselfs trying to get the emotion up.

And Patrick Kearney, I seen some missed asigments on him, where neither Heyer or ey even put a hand on him. That is another example of the noise facter. They couldn't hear the line changes. When they could get a block on him, that only slowed him down for a split second.

He is a better player than I expeced. Which makes me think that we need a guy like that opposite of Carter.

Moss and ARE and ey was getting open down field all game long. Their DBs couldn't cover them. But the pass rush was too strong.

Our D played good. IMO they only really scored 13 points on us. The rest of the points we gave them.


Bottom line. If we played in our house we could beat them.

I don't think the Hawks are a better team. We just couldn't hear.

Ah, possesion, that makes more sense. So if the ball hits them it counts as a live ball only for possesion, if they establish possesion, and fumble than it's a live, progressable ball.

Further proof that I, in fact, don't know everything!

I'll agree with Kearney being a big factor, but I still think the 12th man is a load of crap. We had 5 penalties, an illegal touch on a punt, 2 illegal blocks, one delay of game, and one false start. We always have false starts, usually multiple calls. The fact we only had one is a miracle. The delay probably could get wrote off on the crowd as well. At most 2 penalties to be charged to the self proclaimed loudest fans in the league. The missed blocking assignments were just that. They kept trying to just chip and release Kearney instead of holding their blocks. I am not gonna give the 12th man credit for that. I watched the AFC game afterwards and to me the Steelers fans were way louder than the seattle fans.
