He gave up on a play that led to a Marcus Trufant interception and touchdown. Sure, Collins shouldn't have thrown that ball, but he made a mistake that would have only resulted in an incompletion with a full effort by Moss.
Santana Moss got lazy and gave 7 points (and all the game's momentum) to the Seahawks.
Moss is the one who should be ashamed.
I think it still my have been picked
I don't think the pick is the issue. It is what happened after the pick. Based on that one play, Moss should be released IMHO. Players are taught at the middle school level to never give up on a play and unfortunately in this league and with the Skins it happens alot.
okay that's a little harsh to say cut him. he made a mistake and deserves to be yelled at and fussed at, but I don't think he should be cut, down the stretch, he was our best WR
I'd say that no one is the goat of the game. The OL was overwhelmed in the first half, and still couldn't open holes for running in the second. So be it.
But, oh, did I jump high when the Redskins recovered the KO!

I don't think it is harsh at all. The guy gets paid alot of money to do what, give up on plays?? Especially in the playoffs? He fumbled in Green Bay and we lost, he hasn't been catching balls as good as he used to, and he is not even leading the team in receiving yards and TDs!!! Then he makes a 3rd down catch when the game is lost and all is supposed to be forgiven?? Give me a break.

That 12th man stuff is so annoying. They built that stadium to amplify crowd noise - any NFL team's fans would sound like that if their stadium were built specifically to amplify the noise.
I hope our next stadium (and we all know it will be soon) has the acoustics that RFK had with the size of Fedex

So everyone that screws up gets released? That's insane, there wouldn't be a league left if that happened.

didn't the NFL used to give penalty's due to croud noise? what hapened to that?

okay...let's see, he was hurt for most of the year, finished with over 700 yards of receiving and helped us get to the playofs, but he's an overpaid quitter, you need to take a break, turn off your tv and get away from the game for awhile....calm down....in September, you'll be Moss's fan again and all will be well...

There is a different between screwing up and giving up and then watch the go blow by you for a TD and the win.

He did try to make the tackle, he's a receiver not a linebacker, these things happen on plays like that

I am a Moss fan because he is a Redskin, he has character and I honestly believe he wants to win and succeed, but it is the dumbest play, kind of Leon Lett like. I just don't think he is a dominant receiver and we won't get the production out of him that we did his first year here. When the TE has more yards and TDs, its a problem.

He did try, after the guy ran by him and he had no chance of making it. He gets A for effort after that part.
We lost that game because our offensive and defensive lines got owned.
When you don't get pressure with your front four the entire game and your offensive line lets the QB get hit that often and not open any holes for the runners, you lose most games.
Maybe the Seahawks have better lines than we do...
Hey, I'm happy, I never thought we'd get this far if you go back to early December. One playoff game is pretty cool, considering all the stuff this team went through this year.
I'm looking forward to 08/09! Pray for no season ending injuries...

The TE is a big part of Al's offense. Ever heard of Tony Gonzalez??

Most of ey's TDs came when Campbell was the QB...they worked on that all during training camp and had really good timing....he was campbell's favorite target....and how can you say it was leon lett like, it wasn't like he was showboating or anything, Joe Gibbs just said in the post-game conference that Moss lost the ball and the DB saw it the whole time, that's what I saw, by the time Moss saw what had happened, the DB was down the field...

Moss, and the girly men on the offensive line lost this game. Mostly the O-line, as I've never seen a worse performance, ever, in 40 plus years.
Truly a shameful display of blocking. Hats off to Collins for even getting close to making this a game late.
Kruncher wrote:No, I am not kidding, he has not lived up to his first year in DC. We have gotten rid of players far better than him.
WHO????
Should have never got rid of Keenan McCardell for starters.
Are you on drugs, McCardell was a backup to Monk, Sanders, and Clark when he came up...we didn't need him....YOU are just mad that we lost and trying to win an argument that you WILL NOT win
