it was stated that we, with the browns, give up more points than we get.
if you take out the pats game it changes this assumption from where we then judge the team.
had to get that out there.
Yes, and if you take out the Patriots you also have to take out the Lions game, which leaves the Redskins back where they started.

Not true. The other two losses were by a total of 10 points. The other four wins were by a total of 16. So, without those two games we have scored six points more than our opponents.

NEGATIVES:
Injuries
No killer instinct
Unlike every other nfl team we dont seem to employ any wide recievers
Scared, ulta consertive coaching and philophsy
No ELITE offensive weapons (please dont give me moss or portis, they are good when they are not injured but NOT elite).
Prophensity to find insane ways to lose games and play down to our competition.
Coaching staff doesnt trust the QB that we traded up to get and sat on the bench for 1.5 years to get used to the speed of the nfl.
Said QB is on pace for 12 TDS, none of which is to a WR, and his greatest strength (deep ball) not being utilized or barley attempted even while rushing for 300 yards and not mixing in any play action.
Football gods relish in our teams ineptitude and misery
POSITIVES:
The lord has blessed us with a great bunch of guys and We fight super hard.
um.... hmmm. im thinking here....
ok.. for real:
we DO fight and dont quit which is nice. i honestly cant believe we won yesterday.
We are 5-3 in a weak conferance and have a tie breaker with the potential 2nd wildcard team in the lions.
Hopefully we can get better offensivly as the O-line is starting to click (as evidenced by yesterdays performance, albeit to a weak team).
We really cant get much worse on offence... can we?
At some point I would think that our coaching staff will see that 31 other teams have this nifty posistion called Wide Reciever and we will proactivly try to find one for our team.
um.... Im thinking...
Did i mention we're 5-3 ???
It is what it is. We're not a great team, and we're not a Horrible team. We probably are the defination of mediocracy. spelling??

the point is that the pats are the best team in the leauge maybe in a generation. the lions are not. our D is great. we had the third lowest pts against before the pats. we lack . our D is fine

Well, the stats are the stats and we can't throw out either game.
Even if we did, 6 points in seven games is not impressive. Since a team cannot win a game by less than one point, all that proves is that the Redskins have played dead even with the lower echelon teams, Dolphins(+3), Eagles(+8), Cardinals(+2+, Jets(+3).
Combined +16 against four of the worst teams in the league.

You guys are going to spend an entire winning season gripping. Then at the end of the year you're going to realize you forgot to enjoy it.
They're 5-3! That's great record. That's a fact. Enjoy it.

It's only a "great record" because the Redskins equalled their win total from last season already. We should have slightly higher expectations of this team. As of now, this team could still go 5-11. Or they could go 13-3.
Or they could go anywhere in between.

I see us going 3-5 the rest of the way and finishing up 8-8.
I think that we'll beat Philly this week, then I see us losing to Dallas and Tampa Bay. We should beat Buffalo and then Chicago at home, but I also think that we will lose our last 3 to NY, the Vikings, and Dallas.
We are 5-3, but we have only beaten 1 team with a winning record and have only looked impressive in one of our games (Detroit).

I am thinking this team will be carried by Portis again. Portis has said lately, that he would like to carry the team on his shoulders. Gibbs has also mentioned this in interviews as well.
So I see this team leaning heavily on the run again and defense.
Now we should be able to win about ten games if we can be productive in the run game and our defense holds up.

And that's a fact. They are 5-3. What's bad about a win?
A team has to beat the weaker teams. The Redskins have done it. They out-played the Packers, they lost to the Giants, who are not bad. They got clobbered by the Patriots...so be it.
OK...the Redskins are 5-3 and the Eagles come to visit next Sunday. What else is important?

4-4 is overachieving, IMO.... The way that offense plays I can't see winning 2 out of the rest. If we do lose out on the race to the playoffs, I hope we lose out big, as in not even in the race.... This way it will be obvious that there is a change that needs to be done, and the current personnel on the field or the sidelines is a hopeless experiment that needs to be taken cared of.
