HOGNOSTICATIONS 2007: NFL Week 9

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Thanks for the heads up BH

Is the time limit for posting picks still Saturday at 6pm or is it back to Friday by 9pm?
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I see Week 9.

hit F5 when you are looking at the picksheet. After it refreshes, it should say week 9.

I'm playing for pride from here on out, having missed last week. :( Too bad; I was in decent position up until that point.

Sorry I missed this... the deadline is still Saturday... I tihnk it's only fair to give people as much time as possible this week, considering the picks weren't up until Thursday.

I believe as of last night, I had about 35 picks received... so get 'em in folks and good luck!

By the way, if you MADE your picks from the picksheet... you needn't post them here... posting the picks was just in case I couldn't get the picksheet itself up and running. Thx.

I missed the deadline. This is the 2nd year in a row where some bull screwed me up. Well...I can stop playing it safe now and make some wild picks. Darn this new job.

Chris... just send me your picks... if you get them to me before the gam,es start, then I'll include them. I received a few last night as well and while I'll normally stick to the schedule vehemently, I recognize that people didn't have much time to get picks in this week... not everyone logs on every day. I'm including a couple of picks that I got hours after you posted this... so get 'em in.

HOOKBASSGA did and that dude is incredible....only missed the Indy game so far! Probably had the perfect week if he hadn't picked Indy.

Good God.... I'm copying his picks the rest of the year.

On top of that, he is a LOYAL Redskins fan.

On the other hand, I am having the most MEDIOCRE season in my life. I swear that EVERY single close game won/lost by a single field goal went against me so far this season. I have not had a SINGLE break!!!

I stink so bad that my only consolation is that the Redskins stink a bit more than I do.

On second thought:

Jaworski 9-4
Accuscore 8-5
Hoge 8-5
Wickersham 7-6
Salisbury 7-6
Schlereth 7-6
Golic 6-7
Allen 4-9
Mortensen 4-9

At 8 - 5 this week so far, I feel a little less mediocre just now.

I guess those should be good news for the Skins as well.

Oh yeah, you're so loyal. "No hope"? What a joke.

At least I think they have a shot against NFC teams. What happened to your "Mr. Positivity" type attitude?

Obviously if we have no shot against the NFC, then your Hognostication picks are a CROCK and phony (but then again, we all knew that) and your loyalty is somewhere down the tubes.

If anyone wants to win this thing, just look at my picks and take the other team, Redskins excepted, of course.

For the record, I am convinced we will win next Sunday. We might stink right now but Philthy smells far worse like ... like ... what they are.

Hey kid, remember, I am the one picking the Skins. You are still on the dark side, at least until you get to copy Mr. (or Mrs. ??? ) HOOKBASSGA picks. Nothing wrong with loyalty even if it is by imitation.

But if you do not have enough time to copy this guy's/gal' picks, you can copy mine or Texas Hog's. I post them early and I am at least in the middle of the standings without having to pick against my team. Feel free, they are posted in the Hognostications section very early every week.

Congratulations to the three ASTONISHINGLY great top scores this week:

Code: Select all

Pos Poolmeisters         W  L  T    Pct.  T/B  Result

  1 Skinsfan33          13  1  0    92.9   0   Winner
  2 HOOKBASSGA          13  1  0    92.9   7   **
  3 jeremyroyce         13  1  0    92.9  17   **

Skinsfan33 not only got a -SINGLE- game wrong but -ALSO- got a PERFECT tie breaker !!! Go NAVY !!! How close to an absolutely PERFECT score can anybody get? Well, let me tell ya: THAT is how good any of us must be to beat this HOOKBASSGA guy/gal !!! jeremyroyce surprised us all as well.

See the Weekly scores here:

http://www.the-hogs.net/Hognostications/weekly.htm

But the -REAL- news are that, for the first time ever, a Hognosticator breaks the 100 win mark by the end of NFL Week 9 !!! Take a look:

Code: Select all

Pos Poolmeisters          TW   TL  TT   Pct.  TB Avg  Last Wk  Change

  1 HOOKBASSGA           101   29   0   77.7     6.3     1       --

See the season results so far here:

http://www.the-hogs.net/Hognostications/season.htm

A 77.7% with a tie breaker of 6.3. Hey HOOKBASSGA, whoever you are and wherever you are, I will pay for our trip and stay in Vegas ANYTIME you want (particularly if you are a nice long blond hair stunner) as long as you let me in on the picks. And I have never ever put a bet for money in my life.

Besides, I like fly-fishing too. Have rod, will travel. Send me a PM (PLEASE [-o< ).
