OK, I gave it my best shot. I tried to communicate with you about how I feel about the Redskins' chances next week and I failed.
So I'll stop now.
But if you want to enforce my post as a legally binding contract and compel me to make that bet with you, get yourself an attorney and we'll talk, OK? Because things that people type on the internet are always taken so seriously...especially in court.
Of course, it'll be hard for you to pay your legal fees, since I'll already own everything you have based on the outcome of the game. Maybe you can get someone to work pro bono?
I am an attorney. Why else would I have been questioning the intent of your post to this extent? No, I don't want to compel you to make a bet against the Redskins for any reason. And I never bet against the Redskins for any reason.

I don't think you failed. You obviously think we are going to get blown out. We obvioulsy feel your prediction holds as much water as your wager offer.

Whats funny is, I see this being one of those games when the Skins come to play, the O clicks, and we pull out an amazing win. The win leads to everyone's hopes becoming sky high, and a week of super bowl talk. Only to be followed by a disasterous second half collapse against the Jets that brings everyones hopes back down to earth.
Bruce has the authority. When Bruce makes the decision, it's a Redskins decision.

That is a much more likely scenario to me, too.

joebagadonuts calls it the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Syndrome. It sounds possible to me.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

It also has "Trap Game" for the Patriots written all over it... they play the Colts the following week...

>>>IT STARTS WITH D and O LINEMEN, EVERY DOWN, EVERY GAME, EVERY SEASON<<<
RIP # 21!
Tired of people who think we need superstars at EVERY position to excel... we dont... just 53 guys who are tough an smart
I have a lot of things to say about this match up. I have reasons behind me thinking we can win. However I will spare all of you with that. Because I really just want to simply say....
WE
CAN
WIN!
Don't matter where you are.... YOU'RE IN REDSKINS COUNTRY!
Let's see...in January, 1983 the newspapers didn't believe the "lowly" Redskins even belonged in the NFC Championship game. I still remember the NY Times match-up of the Redskins OL against the Cowboys dynasty defense...Randy White and all those guys.
As best I remember, Russ Grimm was the only lineman who might have started for the Cowboys. Mark May, they thought, was over-rated, but maybe good enough to be a reserve. Bostic was "a little fat boy" and Joe Jacoby a big fat boy. Joe T was an "average" QB, Riggins was too old, and the team had no deep threat with Art Monk hurt. (Curious that so many sports writers now think Monk was only a "possession" receiver.)
They considered the Redskins defense a one-man show: Dexter Manley plus ten other guys.
Predictions are fine and clear when "experts" look at individual players, their talents, and team records, but funny things can happen when they play the game.

Daryl Grant spiking the ball in the end zone is one of my fondest memories!

That was great, but my favorite memory of that game was a reaction shot of Tony Dorsett during that play, published by the Wash. Post the next day. Tony was just sitting on the turf, watching Grant run it in, with his mouth open and the most dejected look on his face. It was priceless!

So let me frame my faith about the situation this way:
My house, my car, my bank account, my retirement...
Everything I own.
Your house, your car, your bank account, your retirement...
Everything you own.
Next Sunday, I get the healthy Patriots. You get the healthy Redskins. (Since you can't anticipate or assume injuries.)
No point spread.
Do we have a bet?
As much as I'd love to be wrong, if you want to take the wager...
I'll tell you where to send the money and the property about this time next week.
Exactly who are you making this bet with? And how would anyone know this is an even bet? I don't have the first clue that you legally own a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out. Even if you do own something of value, my annual property taxes are over $100,000.00 per year. You want to make a foolish bet? Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.
See those trees over there? There's a forest just on the other side of them. Look closely.
I'm not trying to scoreboard anyone by comparing 1040's and W-2's, OK dude?
My point that you may have missed is that if you had to bet everything you own (regardless of dollar value) on the Redskins winning at New England next week, is your faith so blind in this team that you'd do it?
I love 'em. I do. And I would LOVE to be wrong.
Something tells me I won't be, though.
You're trying to bush league you way around your own post. Nowhere does it state this is hypothetical. Suppose I want this bet?
