I guess you're going to blame MB for him having the fewest catches of a starting receiver last year? Stop making excuses IMO. He's not a fit for this team. Why is that so hard to understand. Archeleta succeeds somewhere else, but failed here. The newest wonder of the world? I think not, it's compatability of a scheme and player, and it's NOT here with the Lloyd we currently have. Coles is another good example, he's doing well with the Jets, better than he did here. Not ALL players will succeed in ALL schemes ALL the time. It's just the way it is.

To succeed or not to succeed, one must be given a fair chance to perform.

I guess you're not grasping that concept.

my 2 Cents;

This is the PRO level, you have to earn the chance. You have to show in practice that you deserve a chance to play. Wheather he's showing it or he's just being blackballed, I don't know....

I guess I live in a different world than some people. Exactly WHERE does it say that everyone gets the same chance? In a perfect world, we'd have no prejudices, no grudges, no war, and all the wide receivers in the world would get the EXACT SAME number of catches, regardless of temper tantrums, dropping balls, throwing helmets. And also in this perfect world, EVERY team would be equal. There would be exactly ONE Peyton Manning-esque QB, ONE Art Monk-esque, one John Riggins-esque, and one Champ Bailey-esque. There would be no injuries to any of these players, because THEN it would just be unfair, and it's just not right for ANYONE to have an unfair situation.

Can't say it looks good for them to play this weekend, but we shall see. Waiting to see what the coaches and trainers have to say after practice.

The Skins had 4 WRs working in practice - Thrash, Randle El, McCardell and Caldwell -

When Lloyd first was reported to be coming here I remember seeing some film of how athletic this player is and the catches were spectacular. I personally hope that he gets a chance to show that here because despite what a bunch of people here think I am one (of a few) who thinks this guy has the tools to be a very good receiver. If that is not going to happen then I hope we get a 5th pick for him - he is obviously not as good as Moss and the Patriots gave up a 4th for him - and then I hope he shows all the very knowledgeable fans here how big a mistake it was not to make more of an effort to include him in our schemes.

Lloyd IMO wants to do well here - the guys who make the calls and make the throws are not getting the ball to him.

BTW - the other thread is more in line with Brandon Lloyd IMO - this thread has just evolved into another B lloyd thread :?
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

Coach Joe Gibbs said Wednesday that Reche Caldwell is ready to see some game action.

With Santana Moss and Brandon Lloyd banged up, Caldwell could see a significant role in Week 5 following being inactive for back-to-back games after signing with the Redskins.

Santana Moss (groin) missed practice again Thursday.

Moss did some light work on the side, but remains unlikely to play against Detroit. Backup Brandon Lloyd also missed the workout with a shin injury. It appears Keenan McCardell and Reche Caldwell will both dress in Week 5.

No chance of winning with Moss out.

Sorry if I'm too pessimistic, but who the hell are we going to throw deep to??

COOLEY, captain Chaos himself!!!

of course, jason's gotta run around the pocket and do the chicken dance coz the big guy wioll get there a bit later than Moss would.

This whole Bloyd thing is very touchy I think. It takes a while for a young QB to develop trust and timing with a reciever, He's almost there with Moss, almost there with ARE, I think until he gets good and cozy with those two Bloyd won't get much balls thrown his way. He could be used as a gadget guy, have ARE recieve a lateral pass and bomb it to BLoyd, coz you know no one will pay attention to him.

James Thrash will start in place of Santana Moss (groin) Sunday if Moss is unable to play.
It doesn't look good for Moss. Thrash, a career special teamer, hasn't caught more than 20 passes in a year since 2003. With an inconsistent QB throwing to him, Thrash is unlikely to be very useful against Detroit. Keenan McCardell and Reche Caldwell will also get playing time in a potential rotation opposite Antwaan Randle El.

Randal El was a deep threat in Pittsburgh with Ward and Burress as the other 2 recievers, here, I dont know. gonna have to run the ball and control the clock to win this one if we dont have Moss. We MUST keep their offense off the field or they are gonna wear us out.

Brandon Lloyd sat out Thursday's practice after suffering a shin injury Wednesday.

He was reportedly kicked in the shin during practice and now has a bruise. James Thrash is set to start this week if Santana Moss (groin) sits, and Reche Caldwell and Keenan McCardell could also see action ahead of Lloyd. The end of Lloyd's career in Washington could be ugly.

I wonder who could've kicked him in the leg...may be Gibbs??? lol
