I think the defense played pretty well. You can't expect a defense to held opponents when every 5-10 minutes they are back on the field. The offense lost this game or should I say the coaching of it lost this game.
Yes, I think that we need another option at CB because Rogers, IMO, is a bust but we let one of the worst passing defenses off the hook in the second half by not attacking them.
Even though we sucked in the second half, we still had a chance to tie the game. Once again coaching. Our two-minute offense is horrific. There should be a script of plays for inside the 20, inside the 10, and inside the 5 yard line if we don't have timeouts. This is pro football where decisions have to be made quickly and it's not like these coaches and these players are rookies to the NFL....

The Dfence looked way better compared to 2006. C.Rogers needs to come into his zone,he killed us in the 2005 playoff game against Seattle. Last year it was just the whole dfence. The play Plaxico scored on was terrible (for us). The pass was a bad pass PLaxico made a hell of catch and run afterwards. C. Rogers was watching Plaxico instead of the ball that should have been a INT going back the other way. The media tried to pump up Portis not being in on the last Goal line package, but Cp handle the situation pretty maturely. And for all you diehard skinsfans in the words of J.Campbell we are still 2-1 , one game behind the cowgirls lets not have a baby, lets put this one behind us and move on.

Becuase we choose to run right all game your saying let the guy off the hook?? I'm sure Kendall will be the first to amit he didn't get it done! He got blown up so bad on 4th down that I think he actually tackled Betts on the play!
No, I think what he is saying is that because we hardly ran to the right yesterday and because of the problems on the right side of our oline it was painfully obvious late in the game that if we were going to run it was going to be to the left side. You could see on both 3rd and 4th down that the Giants were crashing that side of our line. It's not an excuse for Kendall but it def helps explain why the line got blown up the way that it did.

The kid makes one bad play this whole season
One bad play this whole season? Did you watch the Dolphins game? He was awful that entire game, especially late in the game when it mattered most. It's not good when your starting corner gets abused by Trent Green in the 4th quarter of one game and then gives up the game winning touchdown 2 weeks later by horribly missing a tackle. The guy was a top 10 pick and he has played nowhere near that level since we drafted. It's his third season, it's time to stop making excuses for his poor play.

he's one of our most sure tacklers on the team.

Yes i did watch it...do you know what defensive schemes are (zone mainly) in a zone carlos' has been covering the back area...they make the catches infront of him (infront of his assigned area)...do you know who is suppose to be in that area? a linebacker...we were also in prevent most of the 4th quarter too.
Did you watch the game? it was Smoot that got completely embarrassed, not Rogers. Chambers was on Smoots side the whole game. He gave up one, maybe 2 pass plays, made a great goal line stop to save a TD, and had a PI call on him that was very questionable...the TD that was caught by their TE was great coverage, great pass, great catch...Champ Bailey wouldn't of stopped that TD either.
Thats game 1...Game 2, Eagles had no passing game, Carlos was told to play up on the receiver and did you see what happened? Nothing came offensively. Last game, gave up that TD to Burress and a great catch and move after the catch, missed the tackle
If you can name one play besides that Burress TD then I would love to see it. And before naming some BS able 4th quarter when we are in prevent and he is suppose to keep the receiver infront of him while the linebackers are suppose to have the underneath help.

Smoot gave up some short catches to Chambers early in the game. He had some struggles early on but played much better in the second half. On the Dolphins' game tying drive in the 4th quarter Carlos first missed a tackle on a swing pass that led to a gain of over 10 yards. Then he gave up a catch to Chambers on 3rd and 5 because he was playing 10 yards off of the receiver. Yes I know the scheme was Cover 3 at the time but Smoot was not playing that far off of his receiver on other side of the field. Then Rogers stupidly got called for a pass interference penalty. This was all on one drive during the most crucial time in the game. Missed tackle, poor coverage, and a bad penalty during crunch time. Now this week against the Giants he screws up at the most important time in the game once again. If you want to delude yourself into thinking that Rogers is playing like a top 10 player then go right ahead.

The scheme doesn't explain why Rogers plays further off of receivers than either Smoot or Springs.

The problem is that the offense left the defense up poop pond without a paddle, without a boat, without a life raft, without a flare. without hip waders, without duck boots, without nose plugs.
How many defensive series in a row can a player play without tiring or blowing a coverage scheme? Springs was covering Burress the entire game up until the one play everyone is remembering Rogers not making.

our defense sucked last year...trade all of them? they are doing good this year, keep it that way...Who is actually going to play better than Carlos behind him? Macklin? Smoot? they are less physical when up on the line, and don't tackle near as well as Rogers, and Rogers has been the best in coverage of the 3 this year.

actually the play calls for them both to be off the ball 7 or so yards and they both are...it's just the camera angle cuts off carlos where he is...u can never see both corners in the same picture, same with opposite field camera u see carlos but no smoot/springs

That TD where Rogers looked totally lost and essentially put us away is consdered what? Oh, since he completely MISSED Burris and the ball, you're going to blame Taylor on that, then? Rogers is most defintely NOT the surest tackler on the team, or he would have TACKLED on that play....

I just wanted to let you guys know that D. Hall will be a FA next year. We went to the same high school and he was been on a local radio station and talked about the possibility of playing for the Skins next year. He has been a life-long Skins fan and said he would love to play here.

I don't understand all the Rogers bashing. Is it just carrying over from his poor performances last year? So far, I haven't seen anything to suggest that Rogers is underperforming when compared to Springs or Smoot. They've all been beat. Smoot's cusions are just as big as Rogers'.
I think Rogers has done ok...not exceptional, like we all hoped he'd be, but he's not a "total bust" like some of you are claiming. If he was getting lit up in the past 3 games, I might agree with you, but I don't recall a ton of passes being thrown in his direction in any of these games. And on a bunch of plays, he's been like glue on the receiver. When QBs start throwing in his direction 10 times a game, and he's getting beat often, then you can talk about him being overrated, a bust, whatever.... but so far, I think some of you are either mistaken about his play, or just confusing him with another player on some of the plays.

Make since yal l I mean look,Hes speed and complament to D.Green him self But I'm excited than cause I say we should release guys to pick him up.
I mean we might pay high price guys!!!!! But D .Hall is only 23 and he has alot of talent I wouldn't mind getting him hes much much better than Rogers.Only reason he gets burnt some times is that he has no safety to help and he can't always read what an WR can do so I say lets try and get him.

How about let's try and score some points on offense and not leave the defense on the field for nearly an entire half? In case no one noticed, Rogers was not the only Redskin who missed a tackle on the play everyone is beating to death.

You don't care that Sean Springs was covering Burress the entire game up until that play and that it might have been Springs, and not Rogers, who blew the defensive coverage? I'm glad you're not my employer. It looks like you'd fire everyone and have to do everything yourself because no one else performs up to your ridiculously high standards.

Doesn't matter he mist us up last year and before last year trough the playoffs.
So what if he does bad again against the Lions? we should start Smoot cause Rogers is done bro I'm sorry.
BTW I found Link to D.Hall being an Free agent
http://www.kffl.com/player/9265/nfl/newsJason Cole, of Yahoo! Sports, reports Atlanta Falcons CB DeAngelo Hall said he would rather play out the remainder of his contract and become a free agent in 2008 than sign an extension with the Falcons. "Yeah, I could think about an extension, but I think I want to wait and see what the market is going to be like. I'm in a good situation where I can wait," said Hall.
