The fact Philly spent thier first draft pick on a QB already has to be messing with his head. Getting booed his home opener would probably only rattle him more.

No doubt about it, if they struggle early the fans will be chanting the for Kolb. Some callers mentioned on talk shows this week that they (the callers) would like to see Kolb in there. Most were saying that they're happy this weeks game was against the Skins so that Donavan can get some td's under his belt :explode: .

Play Redskins Football and give the ball to portis.

-There run stop isn't good at this point and Portis and Betts could carry the O

-Lito isn't playing and the lost of Jansen isn't so big with good replacement so we can trow to guys like Cooley or Moss or Randle el again.....If they find there routes.

-We have too score more than 10 points no doubt so lets hope nothing bad happends.

-Secondry should step up this time and skins should blitz with the LB's and having Daniels back this game could help even if hes old.

-Mcnabb IMO can't run as good and probably would just try to trow long while we shut that out .

-Stop Westbrook(Like we always do)

-Make turnovers against the Eagles and not on us.

-Bench Rogers and Put Springs.

Skins wins this 21-10

This is one of the things that scares me..

"The last time Wade lined up against Kearse was in 2003, when Wade was with Miami and Kearse was with Tennessee. Kearse won that battle, logging nine tackles, two sacks, a quarterback hurry and a forced fumble."

Kearse is a shell of his former self, plus Wade is in a new system. He'll be fine. Plus Kearse will trip over the yard line and be done for the year by the 2nd quarter.

The key to this game is the ability of our defense to put pressure on McNabb. If McNabb has the amount of time that Green had last week then I think that we are in trouble. If we can pressure McNabb, especially with our dline, then I think we have a very good chance of winning. Mcnabb's knee isn't 100% yet so his mobility isn't where it used to be. McNabb's accuracy and decision making also suffers when he is pressured (as with most qb's) so to me that is the key to the game.

We should be able to run on them since Philly's linebackers are average at best. Their secondary is banged so I can see Moss having a big day. If we can limit our turnovers and pressure McNabb I think that we win.

See...we can't count on that. In fact, don't count on it. If it happens, we'll all be pleasantly surprised but if it doesn't I won't be shocked. Our rush is inconsistent and comes in spurts.

The key to victory is our offense putting up at least 24 points.

Key to Victory: Score more points than you allow. Who cares how they do it.

I disagree with the offense having to win this game for us. Yes they have to score but, on the road, in a hostile environment , the Offense is at a disadvantage. Your Defense must take the crowd out of it and keep them out. Managable distances on 3rd down so we have more options on offense, thay way they cant dial up blitzes all night and we will be fine. Need the "Dirtbags" to dominate (I'll never get used to that name) and make them holes BIG but, we must get the crowd out of it early.

Justice Hog wrote:One thing that has irked me somewhat about the Redskins last year and yes, even in game #1 of this year, is their propensity to drive down the field and only get "3" points instead of a TD. To beat the Eagles this week, the Skins will need to get touchdowns, not just field goals.

To that end, I predict we will see this play this week.

To attack an over-pursuing Eagles defense, look for Jason Campbell to pitch the ball back to Randle El on an apparent end around only to watch El throw the ball to Moss for a touchdown.

Mark my words, we're gonna see that play this week.

You heard it here first!

My gut tells me that the Eagles are still reeling from their loss to the Packers and they are ripe for another upset. Here's hoping my gut is correct!

I agree with the need to finish drives. I'm not so sure about the trick plays.

"Every time Chris lined up on my side, they [the Dolphins] were locking up on him," Randle El said. "They even singled up on Santana [Moss] one time, and that's how he came open on some of those in-cuts.

We need to get Moss, ARE, Cooley & BL catches early between runs. The eagles won't know who to double cover and someone will either be open or in single coverage.

The best thing about last week is it showed other teams that they need to watch out for ARE. The more that happens the more it will open up the running game - and the passing game. The more respect the O earns, they more respect they will be given and the better the offense will run.

Our D will be strong and I think you'll see us getting after McNabb early and often. We need to keep Westbrook contained.

Its time for us to get a defensive TD. I predict that we will and we win by 7.

I think we have a good chance here but I fear that all this overconfidence will jinx us. They've won 9 out of last 11. I know we're an improved team but I am sure there have been many similar threads on this forum during the past 5 year predicting vitory. I hate the eagirls... they have dominated this division for a while and attracted all the attention in doing so. I want vitory more than anywone. However, it is too painful to get built up for a big victory with all these predictions and then lose like we typically do.

Uhhh... Al Saunders runs the offense... our pass rush obviously pertains to our defense... am I missing some really lame joke that you were attempting, or did your post just prove you were completely unqualified to comment any further?

Throwing 'no offense' up at the end of your sentence doesn't change your intent to offend somebody... personal attacks aren't allowed outside of Smack. Please address the post... not the poster. Thanks.

Let's get back to the thread topic shall we... keys to victory.

if we stay committed to the running game, i suspect, we can get 3 easy touchdowns throwing play action passes to whoever is replacing lito sheppard.

EXPLOITING WEAKNESSES! - always the "key to victory"
Why would we want to throw TD's to the opposition?

Hey, I'm sorry about that...............at the time I thought it was a funny joke, but I shouldn't have wrote that. It was wrong and I'm sorry.

Anyways, keys to beating Eagles...........Run the ball and play action passes. On the defensive side.............I'm really worried about Westbrooke, obviously, so lets hope we can contain that dude and pressure Mcnabb with blitzes and stuff.

I am pretty confident that with the speed of our Linebackers, we should be able to neutralize the effectiveness of Westbrook. McNabb can't run like he used to so if we concentrate on taking Westbrook away, McNabb will have to beat us through the air. I don't think he is going to have much luck because of the match up problems our secondary is going to cause for his receivers.

I hope you guys are right about our D having a good night.

Like the rest of you our O needs to be consistan, I do think Campbell had a little nerves going on in our first game. And I hope CP can calm him down.

So far this year our D has looked good, but Im worried about our pass protection. We have not faced a QB of McNabbs caliper this year, end the Eagles are know for being pass happy.

I hope we can get McNabb on his back, and are in his face often. And whoever is starting Smooooot or Springs and Rodgers are going to HAVE to step up their coverage skills tonight.
