But 4 sacks in the last 5 games would equate to 12 or 13 sacks in the season (at the same pace). That might not be Michael Strahan numbers, but it's better than we've seen for quite some time.
I've said this on this board 100 times... Carter just started to get it mid-season last year... by game 10 he was playing really, really well. Ironically, The Times ran an article on the exact same thing yesterday.
Just to piggy back off of what you've said. Gregg Williams also stated that it took time for Carter to unlearn the LB position and relearn the DE position. That is evident by his late season surge.
I think a number of factors will aid Carter this year...
Healthy Griffin for offense to worry about.
Possibly Golston/Montgomery
Healthy P. Daniels
Marcus coming off the Edges.
1-1 coverage on Carter because of the blitz...
I think in the coming season...
A possible stud rusher on the opposite side to replace an aging Daniels.
The DE out of Georgetown...he could turn into a gem.
