Just kidding. I thought the same thing. :lol:

Some people just need something to worry about.

So can I or can't I set fires?!?! Make up your @%$@% minds, people!!!

Just light the fires, just in case. If, in the end, it turns out there was no cause for panic, you can just claim "Rookie Cap Psychosis" (DSM IV, on axis 1, for those of you keeping score. Critieria include;

"An intrusive preoccupation with the current signing status of an individual's favorite NFL team's first round selection from the most recent draft;

Continuously hitting the refress button on "TheHogs.net" main page or message board, and;

Rageful behavior when the words "The Danny" and "the Postons" are used in the same sentence")

It doesn't help that Troy Palomalo just signed the biggest NEW safety contract ever. I'm sure those numbers will be used as a guage for Landry.

Polamalu is an all pro vet that has been in the NFL and is now in his 5th year. Landry is just entering the NFL and is not yet a proven starter - albeit one that has great potential. Landry has not earned the right to expect a $30.19M 4-year contract ... yet. I suspect that what is being discussed are performance incentives and contract length.

I wouldnt mind seeing a lot of performance incentives in landrys contract, he is the type of guy that will work his tail off in order to make that money. He is one of the harder nosed SEC guys I have seen in a while.

According to Bram's blog, the deal is close:

Laron Landry, the Skins lone unsigned draftee might have a deal done as early as tomorrow.. I stress that there is no deal parameters in place just a suggested confidence from the guys I have spoken to at the park that there is not a lot of concern of getting a deal done before the start of camp on Friday. Landry is not alone in being a potential holdout, as of right now there are only 5 signed first round draft picks.

Not official, but like most of us suspected there's not much to worry about.
