Just to add something to that CLL........Sean played deep in his first two years in the NFL and when he was playing deep he managed to out jump Randy Moss.........Three times I think........shut down Chad Johnson and scare the crap out of Keyshawn Johnson and TO.........Remember the time when they caught their fade passes out of bounds, because they were scared to get popped? Taylor knocked the crap out of them anyway! It was freakin great man!

It won't matter when Landry and Taylor are back there
I guess you forgot that Taylor was back there all last season where he gave up huge plays

and don't give me the "he had to cover everything else" stuff because you could say that about Carlos and Vincent too...plus on zone coverage...how can a db get burnt...it's the safeties fault
He got burnt because he was trying to be in 2 places at once. He was placed lower in the box because he had to carry AA's load. He was too far down in the box to be effective up top.
Let's break it down for you like I did for someone else.
1. Pop in your copy of Madden.
2. Put Taylor down in the box. See how his speed allows him to play both the run and pass pretty decently.
3. Now notice what happens on play action, you're too far down in the box to be able to cover the WR over top. He's fast enough to get close but not close enough.
4. Now play Sean deep in centerfield where he should be and wasn't last year. Do you see how easy it is to discern the play and use his speed to pick off passes.
Yes, it's that simple.
Yeah i do know that he can cover, but people use the excuse of him having to play everyone's position all the time....when in fact, when he's playing both the pass and run at the same time, his first step should automatically be back and no up like he has done so many times.
He can cover if he is let lose, but i find it funny how people trash carlos so much because he got burnt a couple times (guarantee that if he caught most of those dropped picks he'd be god right now) but he dropped them so people seem to find a way to say he gets burnt non-stop in ZONE COVERAGE...does this make sense?

But are #1 priority is to stop the run..... So it's understandable that he cheated towards stopping the run.
And how can you genuwinely fault a man that's being played out of position and being asked to pick up other peoples slack? I can only be but so mad at a guy who's trying to cover 2 halves of the field and stop the run....
Who's fault is it that Carlos drops passes? He has no one to blame but himself. I agree that his coverage isn't as bad as people make it out to be. If he wants to be considered great than he needs to learn how to catch.

Taylor also gave Freddie Mitchell and Todd Pinkston a severe case of alligator arms. Haven't heard anything from those two since.

If Carlos could catch, he'd be a wide receiver. Recivers that can't catch typically become cornerbacks.

Cornerbacks that can catch don't catch flak....
What you said holds true for a normal amount of dropsies. Carlos can't catch a cold.

We would have had the first down had their linebacker not grabbed portis! Also, that obvious holding call when Griffen would have most definetly gotten a sack instead they got a 20 yard gain!
You know it's bad when even the idiots in the booth are talking about it. One of the many problems with being at the bottom is that you don't get the best crews officiating your games. I guess the NFL figures if there are going to be some embarrassing calls, let them come in games not many people are watching.
Yeah, they did blow those calls, but to be fair, they made some pretty good pass-interference calls that went our way, too.
