Is Rice the missing peice to a Skins team primed for a SB run? Heck no. We're no where near becoming a SB team.

Why give playing time to a player who won't be here in 3-4 years when we could be giving that experience to a player who will be here when we make a push for the playoffs.

But Skins fans don't think 2,3,4 years ahead, they only think of the upcoming season and thats why we go sub .500 year after year after year after year....

This is the problem, everyone wants to write us off and think for the future, and not add any players. But the point is that we are one good wide out and one good d-linemen away from contention. That said Rice is kinda old, as is keyshawn. I might be able to deal with one of them.

There are 17 DL and 10 wideouts currently on the roster. With 4 DL starting that leaves a dozen of guys that can step up and be the "1 player". Same with the Wide-out ... room for 1 out of a half dozen.

Harris did pull a hammy today so that list is getting shorter.

I said one GOOD D-linemen or wide out away, GOOD being the operative word.

I'm saying it might already be one on the team, we just don't know it yet.

The WR didn't get in sync with the QB last year but have had the off-season to work on that.
They didn't address the D-line this off-season... there as to be a reason.

If we dont have to pay too much then I am all for it. Question is how many times have we brought in free agents just to see them flop?

But then again we are in a rebuilding stage and the defense has a couple new faces so now is the time to bring the new faces, so they can build the comradarie. Top Ten Defense next year for sure with or without him.
Sean Taylor starting free safety Heavens team!

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what the title of this thread means.

If we're asking whether the Redskins should sign Simeon Rice, then my answer is no. We've got Carter, and we need to play him. We can't play them both at the same time.

I bet a lot of the Redskins have (simeon) rice and a nice rice cooker too!

Exactly. Two outside speed rushers will not improve the team. We may get a few more sacks but our ability to stop the run will get EVEN worse. Rice and Carter are both speed rushers who prefer to operate as a RDE. So, NO, this is not a good fit for the Skins even if the cap hit were acceptable.
