This is what appears as a "Make the Playoffs" schedule. Not that anything is definite yet, but there are some very appealing matchups there.

They may as well put Tampa in the NFC East...

The scheduling rotation makes it so that there's no way there will be a trip to the pirate ship in 2008 or 2009.

If the Redskins and Bucs finish 2007 in the same place in their divisions, the 2008 game is here. There's already a TB@WAS game locked in as part of the 2009 schedule.

The 2005 and 2007 games were generated through the same-place part of the scheduling formula. Last year's was set as part of the division-vs-division rotation.

My god. It's not natural to know all that! ROTFALMAO
For a minute, I was sure that there were a pair of fans in charge of scheduling, one for each team...and they were betting on it.
Good to know it's more impartial than all that.

I heard the NFL Channel say they had 7 prime time games.

What a load of crap! That is completely unfair! Who the hell really wants to see that team in prime time so much?!?!?!!?

You can't tell me that players don't get geared up more for prime time games than they do for regularly timed games.

I think that gives those Cowpukes a bit of an unfair advantage.

To be fair, If we would have a season like they did, we may have more primetime games too.

In other news, I heard Chris Mortenson on ESPN today say that he has the week 2 Philly/Skins game marked as a big one to watch. He also said that he really thinks that the Skins are being overlooked. He finished by saying that he feels we are more of a playoff team than we were 2 years ago. Finally, we get some respect. GO SKINS!!! HTTR

How many primetime games did we have last year, after a 10-6 season and a playoff win? I'm going only off the top of my head, but I don't think that it was more than 3.

The Cowboys didn't have that great of a season last year. 9-7 with an early exit from the playoffs. Did they even win the NFC east, even after being the favorites to do so down the stretch (before losing 3 out of their last 4)?

I don't really care one way or another how many primetime games we get -- I really don't think there's an 'advantage' to it -- but Dallas is a nation-wide favorite for T.V. coverage, whether it's TO's latest scandal or primetime games. It's fair to call a spade a spade on this occasion.

I disagree with that. This isn't wrestling, the most popular gets the primetime events. This is a true sport. I think it should be fair. I agree with Mississippi, you just know the player get more hyped for Prime Time.(not talking about Dion here)

if our guys cant get psyched up with out a game being on primetime, then we dont deserve the playoffs. not a real advantage.

im psyched for the pats game!! maybe itll be a preview of the superbowl.

I just took a quick look through the schedule and I don't think we have ONE SINGLE game against a team coming off of a bye week.

Considering we were 0-3 in those games last year, that's good.

Hey guys I would like to ask everybody in here a question. Does anybody know how the NFL determines the schedules. For example who plays Sunday Night, and Monday Night, who plays morning games and who plays afternoon games and last how is it determined of which team plays other teams?

I don't like the early bye week, and there's a run of 4 road games in 5 weeks. But this is about the only way in which I can consider myself similar to Joe Gibbs - I have never seen a schedule that I liked.

But the schedule really isn't so important as how good are the Redskins going to be - if they're good enough, then they'll get to play some games in January.

I'm in agreement, that bye week is awful and, with the exception of last season, it seems the Redskins have been handed awful bye weeks the past few years

The bye does suck but I don't think it's going to really matter. We gotta play the cards we've been dealt. We have to come out there and play regardless.

The one year we went far we had a screwed bye. Then we got a good schedule and did nothing with it.

I don't see weather being a problem either. in the later months we go south to Dallas, then Tampa could have rain there, but then we are at home till we go north to NY. Could be a lot worse if we had to play at Chicago and at Buffalo in the late months. And it seems they have paird simular area's together, like New England Then in NY. So, we don't have to go from 70-80 degrees in Dallas and then straight up north to 20 degrees in New England the next game. That's good right?

All i can say is that it is much easier than last year, and probably easier than the rest of the division's

we play 8 home games and 8 games on the road

of the last 10 games 6 are on the road but the only games that matter are the ones that are played after the season and if the last game we play is on the road in Arizona that will not be too much of a hardship either

Considering how irregular the NFL has been the last 5 years, I´d be surprised that by the end of the season we still say that our schedule was "easy".

It´s a tossup and the way to eliminte the luck factor in the schedualing is to have a good team.

Do the Thurs night NFL Network games get shown EXCLUSIVELY on that channel or are they also shown in local markets? Would be ironic if I missed the Bears/Skins game.

Bears to go 0-16 this year, by the way. What a schedule.... :(
