David Patten was a well respected vet who when he was healthy put his body on the line for us.. case in point the Texans game weve all seen that catch and while he made not have done alot its not because he came here and tanked it on plays or was a distraction he caught a bad break with some injuries and had an inconsistent brunnell at QB..

Im proud to be a Redskins fan lets try and be classiers fans then the rest alot of you are making us look like eagles and cowboys fans which is pretty sad since they have no class..

Is this what you think Cowboy and Eagles fans say? "He was on our team?" This has been very G rated. I'm often one arguing against the endless bashing of Skins players but you're being kinda extreme with some G rated not sorry to see him go comments. I haven't seen anything really ripping him here worthy of saying anyone's acting like Cowboy and Eagle fans.

I didn't see any ill will, can you point me to that? All I saw was he did nothing here, at least on the field. One person said he was a good mentor. Again I've been a regular arguer against the bashers, I just don't see some good riddance, he did nothing as a big deal.

I don't think the posts have been pejorative (note that I edited out the Eagles/Cowboys portion in my reply) but I agree that some of the posts seem unnecessarily negative

my comments werent directed at every comment made and i never said there were 'R' rated comments .. its just my opinion ..im just one who doesnt feel the need to make any kind of comment toward a player that was a team player whether or not he made 100 catches or 1.. I wish him the best and appriciate his efforts with the team.. g rated or not still dont agree with it .. not taking any swipes at you or anyone else again its just my opinion and everyones entitled to there own

I wanted to see Mike Espy make the club after last training camp. Maybe this year he will.

I don't know why you say that! I love Thrash. He's a serviceable WR and he is just awesome on special teams. A true team player, why in the heck would you won't him gone?!?!? I just don't get that!

Thrash also probably has the most reliable hands on the squad also....He might not be able to break away like the others, but he's one heck of a possession guy.

I would like to see Espy make the team as well.. I think Thrash and Espy would be very solid as our #4 and #5 recievers..and Thrash is a GREAT team player it would be foolish to let him go

I remember reading an ESPN article with David Patten complaining about the offense.

Some people don't want Thrash on the team? Why? What's wrong with having solid team players and a guy who contributes on special teams? I like what he brings to the table.

You can't have a team full of pro bowlers...

Happy trails to D-Patten, maybe the Pats will re-sign him.
