The point is to prove that Vinny Cerrato will make stupid trades, over and over and over and ...
RiC I get the anti-Cerrato thing, trust me, but this trade is not going to happen.
Not to mention, Cerrato doesn't make these "trades" all on his own. Gibbs is the team president, and I'm quite sure he and the other coaches have more influence and 'say' than Cerrato.

Vinny has been here longer than Gibbs.

^Thanks, I know. But are you saying that Cerrato's 'wants' trump Gibbs and the other coaches? Please. If Gibbs doesn't want someone, I'm sure Cerrato doesn't go over Gibbs' head just to sign him. The coaches determine who might fit their system, not Cerrato.

That Cerrato has input
at all is troubling enough but, yes, Gibbs clearly trumps Cerrato

Those who think Vinny is solely responsible for player personnel and draft choices are simply delusional. He may present some ideas regarding available players, but I promise you, if Gibbs and the other coaches don't want that player, they won't take em'.
Do you really think Vinny says:
Vinny - "Hey Joe, take a look at this guy."
Joe - "Sorry Vinny, he doesn't fit in with our system or with what we are trying to do here."
Vinny - "Hey, screw you Gibbs, I'm taking him anyway!"
Do you really think that happens???

I'm fairly sure Gibbs trumps all, really.
I think Vinny's finest role is fetching coffee. Ok, that was a low blow. He does bind a nice presentation folder for the scouting reports.

I think you just covered his entire job description.

No, I think it goes more like this:
Vinny - "Hey guys, are you talking about football players?"
Gibbs - "Shut up and get me a cup of coffee. And make sure it's hot this time! - No sugar! - Get going!"
Vinny - "Sure thing Coach Gibbs!"
Gibbs - (muttering"can't we just fire that guy?"
