I started to sour on Lavar before the contract issue, right around his third season he began an annual off-season whine-and-then-retract-it-and-blame-the-media fest. This started under Marvin Lewis and, at first, I chalked it up to a need for attention but it became more frequent. The contract negotiations just brought that into sharp focus for me. I can't say this enough, I LOVED the guy for a few years, I didn't change my mind retroactively. My opinion changed because of Lavar's actions.

The bottom line is that this dude is going to have a lot of possibilities after the game is over, regardless. He has a natural charisma, loves being around people, is articulate and

... -articulate- ???

ROTFALMAO ROTFALMAO ROTFALMAO

If he does in fact retire, this must be one of the biggest busts in recent memory.

He was drafted second overall in the 2000 draft. Second overall!

Other second overall draft choices: Leonard Davis (2001), Julius Peppers (2002), Charles Rogers (2003), Robert Gallery (2004), Ronnie Brown (2005) and Reggie Bush (2006).

---

Did you know his second name is Rashad, as in Lavar Rashad Arrington?

Good newz guys Lavar is only a few weeks away from being healthy again. He was considering retirement. But me and my fellow friends at Lavar Arrington newz blog have been emailing him good wishes. It seems he will give it one last go and I hope he comes back to Washington. If not I wish him the best. Mark my words he will come back a beast and be more disciplined. The tough time he is going through will only make him stronger.

Hoorah Bring back Lavar! Bring Back Lavar! Hoorah! Bring Back Lavar! Bring Back Lavar Hoorah!

His agent said it would be at least a month before he could pass a physical :!:

The way he left Washington would preclude him from returning (he'd also need a agent that the Redskins do business with  )

I understand but it dosent make it impossible for him to come back to Washington. He most likely will not but I wish him the best on whichever team he decides to go except the Pukes.
