Adrian Peterson ran a 4.38, in his own shoes.
Calvin Johnson ran a 4.35, in some one else's shoes!
I wonder what he'd post in his own shoes and if he was actually prepared to run. They said he wasn't even planning to participate in the event but decided to run last minute.
A possession receiver with that kind of speed and size? Daaammmnnn!
Anyone know what Santana's forty time was or is?

Many speculate that Johnson will be selected by the Buc's at #4. I live near Tampa and the buzz here is a little different. The Buc's are in need of a QB. Even though they signed Chris Simms to a 2 year extension, rumor has it that Gruden does not like Simms or his QB situation, especially after last season. Fans here have not been happy with their QB situation for a very long time and would like to have a franchise QB. I've heard several local fans say things like 'what good is it to have Johnson if you don't have anyone to get him the ball'. Another rumor is that the Buc's really want to overhaul the entire D-line. So... we'll see what happens.

Is Gruden looking for
another QB? That's going to kill Simms' already fragile confidence, and they just got Gradkowski! He barely got an audition, but he played decently enough for a rookie coming off the bench in the middle of the season. Getting another QB with such a high pick makes little sense for the Bucs, at least IMHO.

Do you think he is the real deal? Or will he bust like Mike Willaims (who i wanted)?
How can you say that Williams is a bust? He is on his 2nd coach, 2nd offensive system since entering the NFL and don't forget that they really haven't had a good QB throwing the ball to them. Dan Orlovsky? I know that he had some attitude issues coming in but he straightened those out and it looks like he may develop into the receiver that everyone thought he would be. This season we will see some good things come from him.

On the flip side, I still wouldn't put him in the same group as calvin johnson. Nobody ever mistaked Mike Williams to be a freak, CJ is a freak. Williams also had those inflated stats from getting thrown to by Leinart. He hasn't seen a qb that good since. I am not writing off Mike Williams but I think as far as safer bets, CJ is different than Williams off speed alone.

I thought he had attitude issues and wasn't a good practice guy.

Some of those guys have been OK, but none of them has been a game-breaker yet. WR seems so hit or miss these days. We'll see if Calvin Johnson avoids the same fate.

I completely disagree with th eabove statement, Charlie Rodgers did get hurt every year he was with detroit, matt J was a qb, mike williams had to sitout a year, braylon edwards broke his leg, but is looking pretty solid, if he wasn't don't you think they would draft CJ? and Roy Williams?? ya tied for 3rd most yds last year is bust materieal. Kelley wash is the only listed guy you have a true case for. CJ will be a beast
