There's a vote up on ESPN.com where you can vote for as many of the finalists as you think should make it.
LINK
Monk is the top vote-getter so far, at about 60 percent.

Irvin, Reed, Grimm, Monk, Matthews, Tags should all be in. Maybe Thurman too.

Come on people - get voting. Russ Grimm is trailing badly - get on there and vote, even if it counts for nothing but just a bit of "fun".
Monk's still leading, but Thurman Thomas is bewilderingly close.

I voted for Monk, Grimm, Guy and Tags - I was terribly impressed with Fred Dean playing for 2 teams from 1981-85 - that should get him in alone!

He won't get any extra points for that, it was the same state different conferences. If he had played for Chargers and the Chiefs then he'd have been first ballot

Thanks for making that clearer

He was a great player but with that schedule I am not surprised he only played for 4 years

Redskins.com has an absolutely awesome tribute to Art Monk posted. It's 22 minutes and it is absolutely great. I strongly suggest that all of you take the time to watch the whole piece!

There is not a single part, video or argument of that tribute that is not here in this and other boards already:

You would think the Redskins media guys would create a new video of their own with all the historic tape that they have.

JH....it's the same video that the thread was started on.
I'll bet your attention span is better at work.
Nonetheless, it's only a day before the last cutdown and then the final vote. I'm all tensed up, like every year. I've done my part, once again, by emailing as many of the selectors as I can find addresses for.
I feel such a personal stake in this, and I don't know the man personally.
All I know is, for the longest time, I could count on him to make my Monday morning at school a pretty good deal...especially here in NYG country.
I hope the return of my avatar is a good omen.
Monk for the Hall. It's time.
Incidentally...I think the guy that made the video got a lot of his text from the Hogs.net ....and didn't bother to acknowledge the site.

Of course not. This isn't the "Official Redskins" something or other. No need to mention the peons, eh?

I'm pretty sure we don't even count as fans

I watched Peter King on HBO this week say that he thought Art Monk would get in this year and that he will vote for him. He said he was inluenced to do this because of a conversation with Gibbs. - DUH
It just pisses me off that all the reasons why Monk should be there have not changed - Monk has basically not got in because idiots like this just never really checked out the facts.
Peter King will continue to be a sleaze bag for the same reason, he was always a sleaze bag

Copying is the sincerest form of flattery.
But we would think the Skins would have the money, personnel, media people and video material to do a little better for one of the best players in francise history, wouldn'we?
As long as Art goes in, I do not care...
It's galling to me...

to think that Michael friggin' Irvin might make it into the HOF before Art Monk. What a travesty.

If he does, look out. Because I'm going to travel all round the world, and kill everybody. One at a time. By the time I'm through with that, I
might have calmed down a little bit.

I will be watching the announcement in NFL network (I believe) in about an hour from now

The live stream is on Redskins.com now. The announcement should be any minute.
I'm glad Adam Scehfter isn't a HOF voter anymore. He's really getting old with that "Name one catch of Art Monk's that you remember." He contradicted himself when he (just before said statement) said to someone else "You won't get any argument from me on his production."
If that's how he votes then Brandon Lloyd would already be in the HOF with the amazing catches he's had. Not a slight against Lloyd but a slight against Schefter's ridiculous argument.
That said, I think it's Art's time this year.

Irvin got in before Monk? What a joke.
This is really ridiculous.

Another year and another trajesty. A crack head gets in before Monk? I repeat, A CRACKHEAD GETS IN BEFORE MONK? Sportswriters have done Monk wrong again. That is why people who know about football need to vote.
The Hall of Fame is a joke.

How did he not get in this time and irvin did its an outrage.

Art didn't even make the final six. It's not a Hall of Fame, it a Hall of Shame. I will never make a pilgrimage to the Hall now. Outragous!
Dr. Z and Len Pasquarelli Suck

At least Peter King finally came to his senses this year, but unfortunately it appears that Monk won't get in until Dr. Z and Lenny the Hutt kick the bucket.
