That post is the biggest pile of hog wash I've ever read on these boards. To insinuate that they only came here to cash a check is insulting to them as professionals. These guys have not taken a Club Med vacation while here!!!
Archuleta only came here for the cash.

Q: How surprised were you that Gibbs revealed he was having two meetings with Brandon Lloyd about his throwing-the-helmet penalty, among other things? — J. Pitt. A: It was surprising considering how Gibbs operates. When the question was asked, the assembled media expected an answer saying how Gibbs had met with Lloyd and how the Redskins can't have that kind of penalty, etc. Instead, Gibbs said there would be two meetings with the receiver and they needed to get on the same page. Considering that Lloyd has a personal public relations representative who reads everything written about him and often contacts beat reporters about writing positive things about Lloyd, if Gibbs' goal was to send him a message through the media, consider it sent. That said, I would be surprised if Lloyd is deactivated for the Eagles game.

Well, he didn't stay up all night with the defensive coaches looking at film for the cash. I think he was interested in playing here; just because he didn't work out doesn't mean the original intentions were off.

Unless he's getting paid by the hour.
Oh, no, I'm not falling for that one again. Worst "drive-by bagadonut delivery" service ever, Joe. How was I supposed to know that you lived in Maine?!
For all of the conjecture and major conclusion-jumping going on in this thread, I'd bet nothing will come of this other than Joe Gibbs talking to him. I'd also bet that Brandon will have his best game of the season against Philly.
RIP 21

BLoyd has no room to talk when he dropped Jason's first NFL pass which should have been a t.o.u.c.h.d.o.w.n. and his stats are pathetic, my grandma could catch more passes for more yards.
Im glad to see Gibb's still doesnt take crap from anyone. I hate coaches that do nothing when a player acts up, cause then you get a worse case senario of what Owns did, he ruined the 49ers, and then almost ruined the Eagles. Lloyd has been doing good, but he hasnt tried as hard as he could. Hopefully they get everything straightend out and he does play, but considering were not in the wild car chase anymore, it wont effect the team.

Well you have me there.
I guess having a coach speak with a player because of numerous activities on and off the field added to the fact that there is a possiblity the player might be deactivated for the next game is not that major.

I think that he (Bosshog) was just pointing to the fact that you cannot always believe what you hear in the media. You may be reading into his response a little. Actions speak louder than words and speculation, so you really just need to see how this plays out this season over the next few weeks.

I agree with most people that this situation will probably die down and nothing major will come of it. Hearing B.L speak to the media after games gives me the impression that he is a level headed guy and if he does get emotional its usually a good type of emotional but I still don't see what was wrong with the article. I thought even Gibbs himself addressed the same thing to the media on Monday.
At first I was like DAMN! why did you do that! And I was having flashbacks of one of my friends in SF warn me not to sign him because it was going around that he has a TO menality.
After the signing got postponed I knew it to be true.
I was wrong. Really wrong.
The signing was a mis-comunication on both sides. That has been fixed and we will most likely rescedule the signing after Christmas in mid January.
But I looked at the helmet issue after taking a step back.
the thing that this team is missing is passion. Brandon showed that he has that.
If we were a winning team right now no one whould question that.
It is kind of like baseball. I guy gets ejected and the team gets fired up.
He has not had a good year by any standard, but I know that he will break out. JC knows that he is a true threat and he will have his chances.
Put yourself in his shoes. They went up 14-0 and looked to be in complete domination. then the coaching staff started to call stupid plays.
I would have thrown something before then.
Stuff like this happens.
Look what happened to TJ Whosyourmamma vs the Ravens. He was clearly a victim of pass interference. Right in front of the ref. No call, and that cost them the game. He took off his helmet and threw it. No one went on to bash TJ.
And look at the Panthers Eagles game. Keyshawn threw his helmet from the center of the feild to the sidlines and didn't even get a penalty.
If we had a winning record people would be saying that it is B Lloyd being B Lloyd. But because we are not winning , and he has been under acheiving like the rest of the team, everyone makes it out to be more than it was. A guy who loves what he does and just wants to win.
