Unfortunately whats more likely to happen is exactly whats been happening all season. By that i mean conservative passing(those damned screens and nothing that requires a pass to travel more than 15 yards in the air) and off tackle outside sweeps, pitches, end-arounds. Also, Gibbs hates turnovers. And seeing as how that is inevitable with a rookie QB (interceptions) Gibbs might even let Saunders go the other direction and be even MORE conservative and never let JC air it out. I'm also voting for the white/white to stay.
That's not true at all. Saunders has been conservative, this year, in DC. He has never, ever, been conservative in his other places.
I think it was more of a function of limited the offense to play to Brunell's strengths, rather than Saunders suddenly becoming short-ball Jon Gruden.
Ill even take it a step further and say that its not that we're not calling deep routes, Brunell just didn't throw the ball.....just because we dump off to the back doesn't mean the play was designed to go there...Brunell was playing scared to throw an interception...and that just isn't gonna cut it.
I'd rather have 30 TDs and 11 ints than have 19 TD's and 6 ints.
