i'm sure it would hinder his tackling ability, but is a 2-handed mike rumph really better than a 1-handed carlos rogers?

This is the quote from the article...

"Asked about his rehab, Rogers said: "It'll be a challenge, especially with the thumb and how much you use it in playing defensive back. You use it in jamming receivers at the line and I like to play physical week-in and week-out"

Am I missing something? Jamming Receivers? Every time I look up our DBs are playing 12 yards off their man... I can't remember the last time I saw them jam their guy up on the line of scrimmage...

I've seen lots of jamming by our DBs this year - unfortunately, it's usually about 25 yards past the line, and the officials call it "pass interference".

No question Carlos has struggled this year, but he was pretty good last year when Spring was playing and he's still a very young guy gaining experience. I don't think he's ready to be our #1 guy. But his not playing is not going to change that. So,

Maybe he's a good #2 but not a good #1 and he is suffering from being w/o Springs and having to play the best receiver.

Do you like Kenny, Vincent and Rumph to be our guys? What is your solution? Are we going to get better by getting rid of everyone we don't like without considering who will play?

I'm not bashing what you said about Rogers and he deserves it. I just keep seeing bashing w/o solutions and I'm curious what you have to offer.

Also it's interesting on the board how everyone wants to write off the season and go to JC (including me) but CR just gets bashed and we dont' want to play him (not including me).

I don't think Carlos is as bad as it seems. We aren't getting any pressure on the QB...that makes it tough on secondary....Rogers has ability but no doubt he's underacheived.
SPIT HAPPENS!!
