After every season they overhaul the roster, let players go who don't have enough glam or don't gell with the coaches, and then seaon comes with high expectations and the team plays like a bunch of guys who haven't played together before. And Ex - Redskins come in a blow up the current Skins.
This is the exact same Skins team we've watched for a long, long time. If you have other expectations, you're ignoring history.
Yep - that's why I said in another post this game felt like a late 1990s game. What is our window of opportunity here? How long can we go with Brunell while the window is open? Gibbs is in year 3 of 5 - when do you play the QB of the future for the old coach to actually coach?

"Almost as good as Arch"? I haven't seen too many plays suggesting Archuletta has actually been an upgrade, and for what we're paying him, he should be leaps and bounds better. I think Clark could've done what Arch has done so far, and probably for less $$. Anyone have the numbers for what Arch is getting per season here, and what Clark is getting in Pitt?

The offense does have some problems but you have to give the opposing team some credit. They got pressure on the QB and tackled well. 2 things our defense didn't do.
Maybe if the defense could pick off a pass, or recover a fumble, or at the very least tackle on third down, the offense might get into a groove.
I agree. Its sickening to watch the defense stay on the field the entire day and let the Giants control the game. I'm concerned about the run defense, passrush, and the presence of Cornelius Griffin more then our backfield situation which should be corrected before the end of the season.

Gibbs is going to destroy his credibility with his stubborness about Brunell just has Spurrier did with Danny Awful. Brunell's an old guy unable to show up every game (not his fault), and Gibbs is still determined to justify
his decision to continue the Skin's failure to develop Ramsey by acquiring Brunell in the first place.
Ramsey's carreer with the Skins boiled down to about 22 games and still he's by far the top yardage leader of the Skins over the past four years.
As for window of opportunity: the OL gets older and Portis gets more battered; the defense is disintegrating by bad personnel moves. The window is closing fast and Gibbs is in denial. If he was made too nervous by Ramsey, he should have seen the writing on the wall and gone to Campbell earlier. It appears to me now that we'll likely be without a solid QB for the entirity of Gibbs' five- year stint and the team will have to be virutally rebuilt in 2008.

Right - this is exactly what I am worrying about and what I don't think folks who are trusting that Brunell can get it done realize.
